III: A Miracle?

Pierre Ilya's POV

After attending Lucielle this day, I decided to go into my apartment and call my doctor. I am bothered the entire day after that encounter with Sienna.

I called the office and find out she never went there today.

Kasama ko nga si Lucielle kanina pero ang nasa isip ko ay ang balitang bigla na lang binitawan ni Sienna na parang isang bomba.

"Why aren't you picking it up?!" I said in frustration after dialing my doctor's phone number for several times.

Pagkatapos ng ilang sandali at ilang ulit kong pagtawag ay tuluyan na nitong sinagot.

[M-Mr. Rozenov, I'm so sorry I was in the middle of--]

"I don't f*cking care. I want you to listen to me." I ordered as I walked back and forth in my huge living room.

"You said I was infertile, am I right?" Pagkaklaro ko dahilan upang tumahimik ang kabilang linya.

"Am I f*cking right?!"

[Y-Yes! Of course, Mr. Rozenov. M-Matagal na po ito kaya hindi ko lang po maiwasang magtaka. You never brought up this issue after knowing about it.]

He's right. Sa oras nong nalaman kong hindi na ako magkakaanak, I never once mentioned it again pero hindi ko ito kinalimutan.

It was a devastating news for me. Knowing I could no longer produce an heir that will continue my father and grandfather's legacy? I was a wreck.

Sumabay ito nong nakipagbreak sa akin si Lucielle. After she turned down my marriage proposal, this infertility news immediately hit me to the gut as if Lucielle's decision doesn't hurt me at all.

Doble and rason kaya bakit ako nadepress noon. As what Alexei mentioned a few weeks ago.

Kaya mula non, I never use protection when I spend a night with a woman. Para saan pa kung hindi rin naman ako magkakaanak.

But then Sienna...

Mahigpit akong napahawak sa aking telepono atsaka tuluyan ng sinabi sa kanya ang balita.

And with that, the doctor went silent on the other line.

I WAS UP the entire night. Wala pa akong tulog dahil buong magdamag kong iniisip ang abiso sa akin ng doktor. Tulad ko ay nagulat din ito.

Sinabi ko sa kanya ang totoong nangyari. Just like the old times, alright? I told him I f*cked a woman without any protection. But I only did it once with her. Just once.

Kaya ngayon, sinabihan niya ako na ang nag-iisang paraan lang para malaman ang katotoohan ay kung magpapa-DNA test ako. I immediately agreed to it and told him to send some of his acquaintances in the medical field to take my result.

Hinilot ko ang aking sentido.

I decided to take a break today. No office. No Lucielle.

Napatingin ako sa kaibigan ko atsaka tuluyang sinabi sa kanya ang isang tanong.

"Kung makakabuntis ka ng hindi mo inaasahan, ano ang gagawin mo, Alexei?" He looked at me with a crease on his forehead.

"Woah, that's scary as sh*t. Ayoko pang maging tatay."

"Just answer my goddamn question."

"Okay!" He paused and thought for a while but he's making faces during the process. Halata na ayaw na ayaw ang ideyang bigla siyang makabuntis.

"Hindi ko alam siguro mababaliw ako?"

"Alexei." I warned him.

"Totoo! Pero heto... paniguradong hindi ako mapakali. I mean man, that's another human being. I know I'm capable of making one, pero kung hindi ito planado tiyak na magpapanic ako."

Jesus Christ, he's not helping at all.

Mas lalo lang ako kinabahan.

"But let's look at the bright side, alright? Since andiyan na 'yan, wala na akong magagawa kundi ang tanggapin ang katotohanan na magiging tatay ako." And he made face again. He almost prayed to the saints not to hear the words he's saying right now.

"Pero teka nga lang, may plano ka bang maging tatay?" Nang hindi kaagad ako nakasagot, nanlaki ang mga mata nito sabay tayo atsaka tinanggal ang suot niyang shades.

I forgot to mention that we're in my yacht.

I want to see some sun and relax for a bit after the news that I received. At wala akong ibang pwedeng makasama rito kundi si Alexei lang.

"Are you planning to make Lucielle pregnant?!"

"No."

"Are you sure?" Hindi ulit ako nakasagot.

"Alexei, will you sit the f*ck down?" He rolled his eyes at me before putting his shades back on.

"Kung sa bagay, desperadong-desperado ka na talaga kung maisip mo 'yan. Imagine taking advantage of Lucielle's vulnerability right now para lang maitali siya sa'yo." Alexei and his choice of words to slap the f*ck out of me.

"Hindi ako ganyan kababaw, Alexei. I won't do such thing to Lucielle." She's too precious to me.

"I know. Just saying."

Kung totoo ngang ako ang ama ng dinadala ni Sienna, paano na si Lucielle? Should I drop everything with her and choose Sienna?

I sighed.

Hindi. Hindi ko alam kung kaya kong gawin 'yan. Lucielle is what I want. She's what I need.

But then Sienna...

If Sienna is really pregnant with my child, what should I do then?

F*cking Pierre Ilya, you better think of a solution! Hindi pwedeng ganito lang hahantong ang lahat. I need to figure things out.

"Saan ka pupunta?"

"I need to breathe."

"Huh? Man, ang daming hangin dito oh. Kailangan mo pa ba talagang umakyat sa deck?"

"Shut up, will you?" He shakes his head before opening a can of beer and decided to enjoy the view. Kaagad akong umakyat sa taas at hindi maiwasang mapahawak sa railing.

I took a deep breathe because I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.

Earlier, I made a call to Benjamin, my butler, to send a discreet message to Sienna regarding the DNA that I wanted. I know Sienna, she will cooperate.

At ang tanging gagawin ko na lang ngayong araw ay ang maghintay sa resulta.

It's urgent and I need my doctor's cooperation regarding this matter. Hindi ko siya binayaran ng triple para hayaan akong maghintay ng isa pang araw.

Pangalan ko at reputasyon ng buo kong pamilya ang nakasasalalay dito. The future of my legacy as well.

I drank another can of beer to ease up the tension I am currently feeling.

THIS DAY almost ended and I got a call from Lucielle's assistant, so I decided to come for her.

Pagkapasok ko kaagad sa bahay niya, isang mahigpit na yakap ang kaagad kong natanggap. I smiled when I saw her looking at me. I brushed her soft blonde hair and look at her eyes.

"What's that smell?"

"I made us dinner." She spoke.

"You're cooking?"

"Oo, I decided to learn, tsaka nagpatulong din ako. Come!" She pulled me and led the way towards her kitchen.

There were a pasta and a steak with a bottle of wine on the side. Kaagad naman akong napangiti nang halikan niya ako sa pisngi atsaka ako binigyan ng tinidor.

I taste the pasta first before the steak.

"Wow. I love the taste!" I said trying to drink a lot of water. The steak is kind of salty. It's her first time and I don't want her to be sad.

"Sino ang tumulong sa'yo magluto?" Tanong ko.

"It was Marie, pero sa pasta lang siya tumulong. Ako lang talaga nagluto sa steak. Masarap ba?" I took another sip of water while nodding at her.

"Yeah, it's so good." That explains it.

"Great! Ubosin mo ang steak ha? I'll only eat the pasta. I still have to do my diet." I gave her a force smile before reaching for the entire pitch of water inside her fridge.

"Aren't you gonna drink wine?"

"I prefer water this time, Lucielle."

"Okay." She then ate her pasta.

Habang kumakain kami, nagkukwento ito sa natanggap niyang package mula sa isang designer brand. She was so happy that someone still send her some gifts and letter.

I kept on listening to her and when she insisted we should drink, I finally gave in.

Lumipat kami sa sala nito atsaka siya kaagad na sumiksik sa akin. She leaned her head against my shoulder as I wrapped my arm around her.

"We used to do this a lot, remember?" She said in a low voice and I agreed.

"Yes, I do remember."

"You always thought of doing everything right pero ako 'tong bad influence. I always wanted you to do things like this and things like that, and you never complained." Nag-umpisa nang iniungkat ni Lucielle ang kahapon.

When we are left like this, she always talks about our past.

"Kapag sasabihin kong kunin mo 'ko sa amin ng dis oras ng gabi, you'll hesitate at first kasi nga dahil kay dad, but I'll keep on pushing you to do it and eventually itatakas mo nga ako." Mahina itong napatawa habang tahimik na lang sa tabi.

I still do remember that.

I am always the silent type. Kumbaga ako yung klase ng lalake na masyadong play safe. Of course, I don't want to do anything bad when it comes to the girl I love.

Lucielle is precious. I want her safe at all times.

But I never thought she had this kind of side. She's kind of a rebel but I still accept her anyway. Mas nanaig ang nararamdaman ko sa kanya.

"Pierre?"

"Yes?"

"If I didn't turn down your proposal, you think my life would be better?" Napalingon ako sa kanya nang banggitin niya iyon.

Lucielle never mentioned that before, ngayon lang, kaya hindi ko maiwasang matigilan.

She met my eyes and look straight at it. Halatang naghihintay ng maisasagot ko.

"I... I don't know. I can't tell."

What? What do you mean by that Pierre?

Where's your confidence? Tell her yes, her life would've been better because you'll be there for her. You'll give her everything she wanted. Kahit siguro buong mundo ay ibibigay mo sa kanya.

Tell her that giving your last name, Rozenov, will keep her away from harm.

Tell her that being your wife will change everything.

"Kiss me." Napakurap ako. "Will you kiss me, Pierre?" She asked and when he reached for my face, I immediately gave in.

For the nth time.

Ang dali ko lang bumigay.

When I tasted Lucielle's lips again, my entire mind just shut down. It was just gentle at first but later on, it got aggressive. Intense.

Tuluyan na akong pumaibabaw sa kanya atsaka ako pumosisyon sa gitna ng mga hita niya. Lucielle wrapped her legs around me, locking me in the place.

I sucked her lower lip and tasted her as I cupped her breast.

"Hmm." She moaned between the kiss and so, I penetrated my tongue deeper inside her mouth.

"Ahh, Pierre." Mahigpit akong napahawak sa sandalan ng sofa nang marinig ko ang ungol niya.

But as I kept on kissing her, my mind flashed a scene I never expected.

Pierre...

I stopped when I heard Sienna's voice.

"What's wrong?" Lucielle's voice came back once again, looking at me with a puzzled look.

"Ayos ka lang ba?" Aniya atsaka hinawakan ang magkabila kong pisngi.

What the f*ck was that?

"I... I was just..." Napalunok ako dahil hindi ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin.

I panicked a little, but when my phone buzzed inside my pocket, I thank the heavens.

"Someone's calling. It might be work." Lucielle looked disappointed but confused at the same time.

"Sure, just take it first." I gave her an apologetic smile before standing up ang walk away. Kaagad kong sinagot ang tawag nang hindi nililingon ang screen.

"Hello?"

[Mr. Rozenov.] I froze when I heard my doctor's voice.

Ang kaninang kabang nararamdaman ko muli na namang bumalik. When the doctor told me the news I've been wanting to hear all day, I almost dropped my phone.
