In a world hidden beneath our own, where the most powerful of creation dwell, there is a war going on. As the forces of light and dark continue to clash, the battle for peace and world domination becomes fiercer than ever. This is the world of the arcane.

The World War 3 remains to be the greatest crisis in human history. The devastation and tragedy it has caused is still seen even in this day. However, the true course of events goes beyond what humanity knows or could even understand. For the true cause of it all…is the Olympian deity of war, Ares.
Immortal beings may not die but they fade out of existence once they lose their purpose and are forgotten. With the peace that has prevailed over the mortal realm for so long, Ares started to weaken and when something like this happens, it is the deity of war that will certainly not stand back and wait for himself to vanish.
So in his quest for survival, Ares brought to the mortal realm havoc like no other. Living among humans as the despicable being known to them as Cormac Blaise, he broke the world into pieces with his followers, the Reapers of Ares, right behind him.
Humans forgot what it meant to be human.
The natural order was broken.
As the god of war gained an uncontrollable amount of power, the other deities turned against one of their own.
The highest throne became threatened.
The Angels had to interfere.
A new race was created.
In opposition to Ares and his men, the remaining deities of Olympus created the Arcane Guardians. Blessed with heightened senses, increased strength, exceptional abilities to wield weapons, and control over elements of the world, the Arcane Guardians became the stewards of the deities, the protectors of the world, and the Keepers of Life.
The first battle was won by the deities and Guardians but since then, the deities sealed all the entrance to Olympus, cutting all their connections with the mortal realm. The Angels guard the boundary of Olympus and relay messages to the deities but no longer are they allowed to interfere with the mortal realm.
Ares may have been subdued, but his followers remain at large. Thus, the war continues to be waged. Generation after generation of both Guardians and Reapers battle for triumph in their own pursuits.
Almyra is a Guardian who has lost everything to the Reapers. Now standing as the only nobility of the Alderian Clan, the Firestarter Guardians, she fights not only to keep the world safe but as well as to keep herself sane from all the pain and disasters around her. She also fights to keep her clan safe from those who are trying to seize it.
Creed is a Guardian who belongs to the Giovanni Clan, the Air Wielders and the leader of the Arcanians. He lost the woman he loved since childhood to the Reapers and has lived in misery since then. Devoting himself to his role as a Guardian of the world, the heir fights to find a purpose in life beyond fighting again.
These two heirs’ lives become intertwined as they are joined together through a marriage of convenience. Standing together should have made them more powerful: the Firestarter and the Air Wielder. However, they both let their pain and pride blind them. And so, they may be beside each other, but they are farther apart than ever.
What will a life of violence, pain, lies, and mistakes bring them?
