The Crescent Moon Twins

Koulder's Pov It was Halloween. Everyone is running around getting things ready for the ceremony tonight. I will be named the Alpha Prince tonight. As I lay on my bed thinking about all the things I wanted to do for the pack, my thoughts were suddenly interrupted when my twin sister Luc came barreling through my door. "Koulder get up and let's go." She said. "I am not going to get a damn suit, Luc. I have plenty" I said, pointing at the closet door. "Oh come on, tonight is going to be the night you become Alpha, Koulder, none of that crap in your closet will do!" She said snarkier than I expected. I knew she was right and I did have plenty of suits but none that an Alpha would ever wear. "God fine, let's go. We all know you just want to buy a new dress for tonight in case that, oh so special, someone, happens to be here." I wink at her. But she just shrugs her shoulders. "Oh come on Lucil, I'm just teasing. You will find your mate and, if not, tonight, soon! I promise!" Lucil had wanted to find her fated mate her whole life. Mom told her stories about how she grew up not even knowing about mates and then how she and dad met, so now Lucil is nothing but a romantic. We made our way to the garage and jumped into my jeep. I wait until she puts her seat belt on before leaving the garage or dad will have my head. Lucil is quite on the short drive to the mall. I am sure she is thinking of the Mate she will soon meet. I let her daydream and start making mental plans on how I would embarrass her when she does find him. Me and both my wolves all agree! In just a few short miles, the mall comes into view, and, of course, it is packed with people. All kinds of people and humans are my least favorite. Mom and Dad always taught us to love every species, but every time I have met a human, it hasn't turned out good, so I keep my distance. They either question me to death about what I am or they are scared to death of me, so, it is easier to just distance myself from them. I think back to dad again. He saw a world where all species should know one another and he made it so. He thought it would help bring peace to the world, but in all honesty, there was one species who took advantage of everything he tried to do. The witches have since grown stronger and they continue to be a huge threat to the world as we know it. We park and head into the mall, the one store I hate, but I know as the new Alpha I will need to dress the part, so I follow Luc into the store where I am met by a young vampire girl who immediately bows and says. "Alpha Koulder how may I assist you today?" I studied her for a moment. Vampires don't bow to wolves normally, so me, being who I am, get instantly suspicious, but I say to her. "I would like to see a few of your armonie suits please." Her smile widened and my suspicions went away a little. She needed the commission. I make a mental note to also tip her very well. She brings the suits all in black with very little differences. I'm not one to try things on, so I tell her, "I will take them all." and again she smiles almost giddy. So we made our way to the register and I threw her my card on the counter. I also take two hundreds and hand them to the girl who smiles as she takes them. I finished the transaction and went to find Lucil. She is at the other side of the store where the dresses are. I spotted her eyeing a really pretty red dress. She holds it up and I shake my head in agreement. She took the dress into the dressing room. She comes out and, of course, she looks beautiful, and the dress fits her perfectly. She goes back into the dressing room and in just a few minutes she is done and ready to make her purchase. She is excited for tonight and I pray to the moon goddess she meets her mate tonight. Me, on the other hand, it will happen when it happens. Back at the pack house, everyone is busy getting the last details done for tonight's event. I checked my watch and saw that I still had about 2 hours before the party started. I go to my room, throw my bags on the bed and head to the weight room. I needed to get rid of any anxiety my body may be holding before tonight. After an hour of working every muscle I could to the brink, I headed to the shower to get ready to become the Alpha of this pack. It's a ton of responsibilities but I know I'm ready. I've been trained to do this since birth. I take a deep breath, releasing anything that could or would give me any doubts about my abilities. An hour later, I was standing on the stage in front of our Pack members and friends. I look out to see them all smiling and feel an instant love for each of them. I heard my dad's voice boom over the crowed and everyone became quiet. Alpha Prince, Koulder Moon. I came here to hand over this pack and the Alpha position. My father yelled so the crowd could hear him. I kelt down before my father Adrian Moon the Alpha King. He put his sword on my left shoulder, then my right. With my head still bowed, he said the words, You are the Alpha Prince. Koulder, you should always be fair, always be ready for anything. With that, I stood up tall and accepted the title. I waited for the ceremonial cup to be passed from my father to myself where I cut my hand and let the blood mix with his and then with the pack. He was no longer their direct Alpha, even though he was still their king. They would now look to me to be the man who knows how to run this pack, which I do. I am confident we will prosper. I just worry about my mom and dad and Lucile. After tonight and her not meeting her mate, Luc, decided to go to the bayou. The Bayou is no place to make a mistake. These witches have gotten so strong over the years, who even knows what they are capable of? Luc wants to find her mate and she thinks she will have a better chance if she goes with mom and dad but I have my reservations. I couldn't protect my sister there. I know she will be safe with my mom and dad, but I will still miss my sister.
