I left Riley's door, knowing something was wrong but also knowing there wasn’t much I could do. I can’t stop the fears and memories and she will have times where things get bad. As I walked back to the kitchen I looked up at the others and wondered what had triggered it this time. I entered the kitchen and looked around. When her eyes fell on Rea she had gone from smiling to that fearsome woman in the hospital.
I looked at Rea and was caught staring as she smiled and raised one of those perfect eyebrows.
“See something you like?” She teased with a smile. Lee chuckled.
“And you two tease us about our on-again-off-again status.” I smiled back at her until she took another swig of her beer.
