Riley I woke up the following day just as the light was starting to change the sky from black to blue. I sat up, looking outside when I remembered that it was Thanksgiving. Excitement flooded me as this was the first holiday in years I was going to be able to participate in. It didn’t matter that the main festivities were a large feast for dinner, it was something new, something I had always wanted and now got the chance to have again. I threw the covers off, the excitement coursing through me as if this was Christmas. I ran to the bathroom, showered, brushed my teeth, and looked in the mirror.
