I opened the door to the car and waited for Riley to get in. She was being wheeled out of the hospital in a wheelchair and from the look on her face was not very happy about it. I tried to hide the grin that was threatening to break through before she looked up at me. She was pouting after losing the fight with the nurses in using the wheelchair. When she was finally at the threshold of the doors she leaped up and nearly ran to the car.
“Thank you bye!” She called over her shoulder to the nurses. I snorted in my attempt to hide my laugh and was unsuccessful as I noticed Riley glare at me from the front seat. I quickly closed the door and hurried to the other side of the car to get in.
