NATHAN'S POV

Guys finally I'm eighteen and though I'm happy, I'm a little sad because it's a good bye to my free life of no responsibilities. Everything was set and you all know my mum she went all out for this party and trust me when I say it will definitely be the talk of the town. Everywhere was full and I could see my friends sitting at the table i specially reserved for them apart from that, I could see so many of my school mates and even teachers but Megan wasn't invited because mum doesn't like her and her family. When it was time for my introduction, I descended like the future Alpha that I am with everyone Cherring for me. I made my speech not forgetting to remind my parents of my undying love for them then later joining my friends at our table with everyone wishing me a happy birthday as well as gifting me their gifts.

Normally gifts are usually collected at the door before entering but that applies for normal guest only as for our friends, they can hand their gift over to us personally.

"Guys thanks a lot I do appreciate i thanked them.

"You are welcome man Charles replied.

"It's nothing dude Dante added.

"You are welcome bro. Nate I do need a favour from you stated Jane.

"What favour do you need mi lady I asked teasingly. She has always discarded me saying I do not attract her in that sense at all rather she is attracted to Carl.

"Where is Carl? I haven't seen him since I came here she asked.

"I should be last person to know the whereabouts of Carl. Why don't you ask his princess I replied with a lot of sarcasm in my last sentence and she just rolled her eyes at me.

"Talking of Kate where is she? Claude asked breaking his silence.

"Do I look like her babysitter dude? I've been having this feeling of you having interest in that girl I told him.

"Let's assume you are right. Is there anything wrong with that huh? Claude asked.

"Blind bats. I commented before the lights went off and it's being replaced with a mix blue, red green and a white light which the white light is concentrated just at the stairs. A sound began playing then a figure started descending the stairs and I already knew who it is goodness mom just discriminated. I can't believe her entrance is more fantastic and graceful than mine damn.

"Wao is that who I think it is......Why does she gets more gorgeous as the days goes by? Charles asked getting a chuckle from Claude.

"It's not funny bro. I've always known she is a beauty hiding behind those baggy clothes but I didn't expect her to be this dead gorgeous and frankly speaking, she actually is the most beautiful girl in our class and probably the whole school Charles stated.

"I'm with you on this bro. She is definitely beating all them girls at our school Dante seconded.

"I just stood there listening to their conversation while staring at her as she descends meeting mom and dad. After giving her speech, she rushed to meet that Mike guy and Yes I admit she is a beauty but I still do not like her. Though I do not like her, it doesn't mean I will let others hurt her so reason why I do not like that Mike guy because I feel there is a motive behind him wanting to be too close to her and I will definitely find out to ensure the safety of my pack.

"Dude are you okay? Claude asked.

"Yea I am why? I asked back.

"Because you have been glaring at the guy throughout Claude replies.

"I just don't feel right about him. I feel he has an ulterior motive for being close to her I stated.

"Are you caring about her? Claude asked.

"Never gosh never I reply a little irritated.

"Easy man I was just teasing claude replies laughing along side others.

"Is Carl and Kate's relationship just a plain one? Jane asked

"Why ask Jane .....Is your obsession for my brother damaging your reason capacity? I asked her smiling.

"look Guys she replies pointing to a particular direction with her eyes.

We looked in the direction to see Carl whose entire focus and attention is on Kate. His eyes follows her as she greets guest accompanied by my mum. I looked over at Mike to see him at the bar so I decided to have a little chat with him.

"Wao who do we have here? it is the birthday boy. Happy birthday Nathan he wishes me"

"Thanks but no thanks I replied rudely."

"Ooh easy no need getting all rude he stated sarcastically."

"I might not have a good relationship with my sister Kathleen but that doesn't mean I will let anyone hurt her I tell him."

Come on Nat we all know you hate her so much and you are fun of hurting her so you should learn to protect her first from yourself before you think of protecting her from someone else and besides I do not mean any harm for she is the most sweetest girl I've ever met won't be capable of hurting her."

"After that I left venturing into the crowd when I heard a name of someone I've wanting to see. I turned looking in the direction to see a very beautiful Slim average height girl with a fair skin smiling at the girl who just called her name. I waited for her to be alone before approaching her and she is just as I imagined her dead gorgeous.

"Hello mi lady I greeted.

"Your lordship she bows as a sign of respect.

"Please rise and just call me Nathan I told her smiling.

"As his lordship pleases. Nice party Nathan she complimented smiling.

"Don't you remember me Lilian? We met in the woods remember....I said.

"Of course I remember just suprise you know I'm the one she replies smiling.

"Even though your face was half covered, I knew your name and your voice that's why I could recognise you i told her smiling too.

"Remember what I told you that day ? I asked

"What was that ? She asked pretending to be oblivious.

"That i can turn down my mate for you i repeated my statement of that night.

"You can't be serious she said giggling

"I'm dead serious. Which pack do you belong to? I asked.

"From the Blue moon pack and i'm the female beta of my pack she replies confidently

"You see you are just perfect to be my Luna when I become Alpha please say yes lily I pleaded.

"What about your destined mate and mine too she asked

"I do not want a weakling for a mate lily I told her.

"You do not know who your mate might be so do not conclude she told me.

"Okay let's wait for tomorrow to determine but promise me if my mate is actually weak you will agree to being my Luna I told her.

"Since our packs are one of the closest why don't you transfer to my school. It will give us enough time to get to know more about each other I suggested.

"Wao that so thoughtful but I will need to talk to my parents about that she replied.

"Do not bother I will do the talking and make the necessary arrangements okay. ...

"So can I have this dance my lady I politely asked.

"We danced while getting to know more about each other and I swear to you i was on cloud nine right now because everything about her is perfect. After dancing till our fill, we exchanged contacts and then I excused myself as she was about to be pulled away by her friends. I got back to our table but Claude and Jane were no where in sight so I asked and I was just pointed to their various directions. Jane was hitting on Carl while Claude was......wait what the hell.

"What is he doing? I asked pissed.

"Wait till he comes back then you can ask Dante replied nonchalantly.

"I sat waiting patiently still looking at them with my poker face on when Kate hugged Claude after he handed her a gift. She is always dramatic but she can't spoil my night for I've finally met the one for me. I looked around searching for her but didn't see her so guess she already left but it's fine cuz I now have her phone number. Jane came back frowning I couldn't help but laugh at her as glared at me.

"Why is he a hard nut to crack Jane lamented.

"And who is a hard nut to crack? Claude asked joining at the table.

"And are you done flirting with her? I asked sarcastically which he ignored.

"Jane what happened? Claude asked again.

"Carl is giving me a hard time she replies.

"Did you confess? Claude asked.

"Of course I did she replied getting a woo woo oooh from us. Guys cut it out he turned me down saying I'm not good enough.

"Why bothering yourself over someone else's mate? asked Claude.

"Arrrrrrrrr you are just a mood killer Claude Jane whined.

"It's the truth besides if he could choose his mate, he will never even consider you or any other girl out there Claude stated.

"Why Charles asked.

"Because he already has someone he is so attracted to Claude replies

"Kate of course. Come on guys Carl will never look at another girl except for his mate the way he looks at Kate and if he could have his way, he will beg the moon goddess to make her his mate says Claude.

"But she is weak and not good enough for him so I wonder what he sees in her Jane whines.

"The night was far gone and the party was getting less crowdy as guest starts going to their various home. I'm so anxious about tomorrow and I can't wait to get it done and over with. I bided farewell to all my friends and was heading to my room upstairs when I saw Kate giving Carl a dirty slap across his face in the corridor before storming off and I was like what the hell has been going on with this two lately. Next minute they are fine the next they are at each others throat.

"Lilian and bro she is dead gorgeous i stated proudly.

"Nat do not mate another for tomorrow you will know who your true mate is he warned sternly.

"If my mate is not as strong as Lilian, I will reject her and mate with Lilian I stated seriously.

"She said it was just to get me off her back at that moment I replied and it was like he was in thoughts or maybe trying to process the news.

"Why are you getting work up over it Carl? ? if you do feel sorry for her then when I do reject her, you can make her your mate he replied sarcastically because I do not understand why he is getting pissed over it.

"I woke up the next day, took my bath and was about heading to school when I smelled something so good. A delicious minty scent filled my nostrils so I kept following so traced it till I came face to face with Kathleen damn the shock and anger on my face was evident.

"The goddess can't be this cruel to me I furiously stated.

"Mate she mutter.

"Don't you dare for i can't and will never take you as my mate i spat.

"I rushed down stairs like a mad man even ignoring my parents as I dashed through the door running into the woods. My day has just been ruin so I needed time to cool off so I ran and ran til I reached my favourite spot. I sat down looking at my wolf reflection in the Lake he is so beautiful I told myself.

"Of course I'm a good looking Wolf my wolf bragged. By the way I'm Matty my wolf spoke.

I only let go when I felt that stupid pain so I stopped and looked around to find her standing at the entrance to the ladies glaring at me with tears in her eyes but I didn't give a s**t about her or her feelings.

"What about your mate she asked.

"found her but she isn't worthy so do not worry I'm breaking everything off tonight ok....

I Nathan Douglas future Alpha of Dark moon pack here by rejects Kathleen Sormas of Dark moon pack as my mate and future Luna of Dark moon pack. She she gave a shrilling scream that could make one go deaf as the pain surged through our bones before jumping out her window running towards the woods. Minutes later my parents and some guards came running into her room.

"Nathan what happened? father asked but I turned to the guards.
