It's been 15 years I Lastly saw him and I he has grown into a fine young man and just the way I've always dreamt of. He is now king and though he turned down all my advances at him, I'm not giving up. After the incident in the woods, we haven't spoken much but now we all are sitting in the lawn of the new school I transferred to. We were having our normal chit chats when some students kept talking about the lady I met with Carl in the woods but that's not what got my attention. My attention was drawn when I saw Carl's eyes changing like his wolf wanted to take over when he saw the scene at the school garden.
"'"I've always wished he could be my mate but it turns out he is not but I wouldn't mind if he chooses me to be his mate reason I want to be closer to him to create more chance to win him over but when I got here I felt like I do not have a chance at all. Back in the kingdom Carly told me not to waste my time but I thought he was just trying to discourage me. She is pretty no lie about it but I'm pretty too and I'm even stronger than cuz from what I heard she is just some weak werewolve that was rejected by her mate the present Alpha of this pack Nathan. I see the way Carl looks at her and I can tell he is interested in her but what I do not understand is why his wolf supports his feelings towards someone who is not their destined mate to the extend where he is fighting for control because of his jealousy and possessiveness. After he left we sat there staring at each other.
"Carly what's up with him John asks.
"Guys that lady over there is called Kathleen. She grew up with us because she lost her parents during the last battle. Her family was a good friend to the Alpha and luna reason they took her in and she became their daughter. She was closer to Carl and I than Nathan because the two couldn't see eye to eye but Carl has always been by her and they were so closed Carly explained.
"What do mean by they were i asked.
"Carl's returning home made their bond weak. During that period she got rejected by her mate on the same day Carl left and came home without saying a word and hasn't gotten in touch with her throughout the time his was at the kingdom. This kinda caused a rift between them so they are more like strangers now Carly explained.
"She is very pretty Tom stated.
"Of course she has always been pretty though I feel she gets more gorgeous as the day goes by Carly replied.
"But I heard she is weak I told them.
"Nora if you do not want to be in Carl's bad book, do not ever call Kathleen weak. This statement has gotten Nathan in his bad side then it got worst when Nathan rejected Kathleen Carly told us.
"Wao who would have thought that Carl will have someone he cares so much for Valerie spoke.
"That's why I'm cautioning you all to stay away from saying cruel things about Kathleen because Carl will not care if you were once his friend if you dare bully or try to harm her Carly warned us before walking away but I rushed after him because I wanted to have a chat with him.
"Carly wait up please I pleaded and he adhered to it.
"What happened Nora Carly asks.
"This Kathleen does she live in the pack house I asked.
"Yes she does why?
"Nothing just asking. Ummm Carly is Carl interested in Kathleen I mean like does he have feelings for her I asks.
'Nora I will advise you stay out of his Highness's business.
"But...but...
"Nora I see you as a kid sister and I wouldn't want you to get into his Highness's bad book so please mind your actions.
"Can i also stay at he pack house since you all are there i ask.
"I'm sorry that's for Carl to decide not me and besides you are here against his will so it won't be possible.
"Okay see you around.
I was pressed so I headed to the ladies and guess who i saw there Kathleen of course and though she is my rivalry I will not hide the fact that she is indeed very pretty. She was done and about leaving but my statement stopped her.
"So you are the Kathleen I said.
"Excuse you she exclaimed.
"I heard you got rejected by your mate i mocked smiling.
"I'm sorry do I know you she asked.
"I'm Nora Carl's childhood friend I told her.
"Okay.....so what has that got to do with me she asked rasing her eyebrows.
"Nothing just introducing myself and letting you know we will be seeing each other often.
"Sorry darling but I do not care okay she says and walks away.
Humph I do not care if you have his attention for now but one thing I'm sure of Is......whether we both have mates or not he will be mine soon.
