"I woke up early as usual to do my house chores before getting ready for school. Though the Alpha and luna are against it, it's the least I can do for they have been the ones taking care of me since I lost my parents. After finishing up with everything, I took my bath, got dressed and got down for breakfast where everyone was already seated. I sat by Carl who has been good to me ever since my arrival.

"Good morning everyone." I greeted with a smile as they responded in a sync.

"Are you excited? Luna asked

"Yes Luna and nervous too I replied."

" Don't worry Carl and Nathan are there with you okay....

"She is right princess. I will be there with you all the way up. Carl said bubbly which made me giggle.

"Thanks Carl." i replied gaining a smile from him.

" You are welcome princess."

"Where is your brother Carl? Alpha asked.

"He left already Carl replied."

"Already and without breakfast? Luna asked a little worried."

"Mom, Dad he will be fine stop worrying about him that much Carl said."

"I just don't know what to do with that boy. He will be turning 18 next month......meaning a lot of responsibilities would start coming his way. Not only that, he need to find his mate and take care of the kingdom's affairs as he is next in line." Alpha said a little pissed.

"He will be fine dad trust me Carl said and with that we ate our breakfast and left for school.

"I am presently standing in front of my new school with Carl and I am so excited to get started.

"Ready princess? Carl asked.

"Ready is all I'll ever be." We giggled

I beamed holding his hand as he gently pulled me inside. He took me to the principal's office where I collected my school schedule. After leaving the office, we continued down the school corridor where I saw him I mean Carl's brother Nathan with his friends I suppose and a girl kissing him gross. We got to where they were standing and in other to gain his attention, Carl cleared his throat which worked as they stopped kissing. Nathan looked coldly at us while I stood there looking no where else but the floor.

"So father was serious after all." Nathan said with annoyance evident in voice.

"Of course he was and I will be showing princess around Carl said and Nathan scoffed .

"As if I care. Just tell your princess to stay away from me." He said and left with his friends tailing behind him.

"What an ass. Forget about him let's go to class Carl said."

"Hey guys I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier on. Am Kathleen 17 years old and will be turning 18 next month which am excited cuz I can't wait to find my mate. See what just happened right......that's how he has been towards me the very first day I entered their home and trust me when I say I do not know why he hates me so much but nevertheless I do not care. His brother is a sweet heart and he even calls me princess God I wish the moon goddess can make him my mate. Yeah I do have a crush on him though he doesn't know about it so no snitching okay. ....

"I lost my family at a tender age so I've been with living with them for as long as I can remember. Carl thinks I'm weak in fact everyone thinks I'm weak and needs to be protected but I'm everything except weak or a princess is distress that needs to be saved by her prince charming. Do not get me wrong okay. ..I do like it when he stands up for me but I'm trying to let you all know I'm not weak.

"Carl and I attended all our classes together and that's because we are studying the same course which really makes me happy since i will always have him around. It was time for lunch so I told Carl to go ahead I will meet him at the cafeteria because i needed to use the restroom. I got there did my business wash my hands and left but seems like the heaven is against me as I bumped into someone who is no other than Nathan. My heart sank and I became pale as I got up arranging myself. I didn't feel that way because I was scared but because I will have to restrain myself from retaliating if he bully's me.

"I'm sorry it was a mistake. I stutter a little and I said that looking at the floor but the next thing he did caught me off guard. He pushed me to the wall and cupped my chin with his hand twisting it and I winced due to the pain.

"Now listen to me you little piece of s**t. I could feel the venom from his voice. You know if it was up to me I would have never let you stay at our home and you will not have been here in this f*****g school too. Just look at you..... too weak for my liking and werewolves like you are useless to the pack and gosh I still do not understand why my father treats you so well cuz left to me, you are no better than an omega. He spat. I've told you and this will be the last time I will be repeating myself Kathleen stay away from me cuz the next time it happens, I won't be this kind.

He threw me back to the floor as his friends laughed at me. After they had all left, the tears I've been holding back starts to flow. I got up and made my way back to the ladies to clean myself up. After cleaning myself up, I got to the cafeteria where Carl was sitting with two of his friends. I joined them saying hi to the two guys."

"What kept you princess? Carl asked

"Ummm... nothing you know girls stuff I lied avoiding his gaze as I stare at my plate of food.

Guys Carl is really a sweetheart. Imagine he had already ordered food for me and it is my favourite.

",Okay ....so why are you avoiding my eyes? He asked looking at me

"Nothing I fidget feeling uncomfortable lying to him."

"Princess look at me."

"He ordered but I didn't budge so he placed his hand beneath my chip lifting it up forcefully and I winced at the impact. His eyes turned dark and he became angry."

"What happened Carl? I asked as fear engulfed my body.

"Who did this too you? I turned my face pretending not to know what he is talking about.

"What are you talking about Carl? I asked but what he did next startled me not only me but the whole cafeteria. He banged the table so hard."

"Answer me damn it who did this to you?" he whisper yelled.

"Carl please calm down. I said looking at him and at the same time Nathan with his friends were entering the cafeteria. I quickly stole a glance at him and looked down at my plate I guess Carl studied my actions and immediately understood."

"It's him isn't it."

I still didn't say a word but he left storming towards his brother and punched him right in the face which caused him to fall to the ground but before he could retaliate they were both separated. The whole cafeteria was watching the scene they were creating and I couldn't bear it as my tears found their way through my cheeks

"How dare you Carl. Nathan yelled.

"The next time you hurt princess I promise you Nathan you will be receiving more than a punch from me." Carl yelled back.

"Ooh I see.....so she ran to you? He laughed but no humor. " I knew it.... I've always known she is as weak as a baby. she can't even handle her own matters always running to someone for help what a weakling he scoff."

"Don't you dare call her that Carl growl and beside she didn't say a word. For how long will you bully her for how long Nathan? I kept quiet all those times thinking you will one day change but no you are still the monster you've always been but I tell you today Nathan if you ever lay a hand on princess again, I won't only punch you but I will sue you for abuse and I bet you know what that means. So Nathan do not provoke the beast in me.

"He grabs my hand and we left while Nathan stands frozen on his spot because he still couldn't believe that, his brother who has always respected him disrespected him today by standing up for a girl who is not even their blood and that increased his hatred for her."
