"After the encounter between Nathan and I, I furiously took her with me to a place I always go to when I need some time alone. I really lost it yeah that's because I'm tired of him hurting the woman I love. I couldn't bare it anymore that's why I went a little out. This place is just around the school though hidden from people so we got there and I made her seat down only for me to realise she has been crying. I scouted before her caressing her cheek and my gaze soften when it looked into those beautiful eyes of hers. Ooh jezzz how I pray she will be my mate when the times come for this love I feel for her is killing me already.

"Princess..I'm sorry you had to see that but I couldn't stay calm anymore for he has beaten more than he can chew so please do not hate me okay....

"I can't hate you Carl but I'm just scared he will hate me more. You know you've always respected him but today because of me you disrespected him and even fought him. He will no more hate me but despise me now. she said as her tears came back running down her cheeks but I wiped every bit of it."

"shhhhhhhh it's okay... he can hate you all he wants. it's his loss for he doesn't know what he is missing. You're the most sweetest girl I've ever seen so don't let that bother you okay.... I smiled at her as she smiled back."

"Thanks for always being there Carl. she hugged me and I returned the hug a little tighter."

After our little moment together, she went to the ladies to clean up herself while I stood outside waiting for her cuz I don't want a repetition of what happened few hours ago. After she came out I held her hands as we headed for our last class of the day."

"We got home after school only to be welcomed with faces staring at us. I held her tight pulling her closer to me as we headed where my family is sitting. I guess Nathan has told them but who cares I was defending the woman I love."

"Hi Dad, mom I greeted."

"Carl why did you fight your brother dad asked sternly."

"Dad why don't you ask your son what he did first?"

"You won't talk to me that way Carl." Dad growled.

"I'm sorry father but if your so call son here doesn't stop harassing princess, then this won't be the last." I replied looking at Nathan dead in the eye.

"What are you talking about mother asked."

"If it may interest you all to know, Nathan here has always been cruel to princess to the extend where he even lay his hands on her. This has been going on since she came here and today he did it again take a look at her chin the marks are still very visible.

Mom took a look and gasp looking furiously at Nathan while dad was taking a look too. It's obvious they had no idea Nathan has been doing this and he didn't even tell them the reason why i fought him.

" Nathan how dare you mom yelled. You are suppose to protect your own not the other way round. How can you hurt an innocent girl? is that how I raised you? Mom asked still yelling

"I'm disappointed at you Nat. Is that how you will treat your subjects when you become Alpha? I order you to apologise to Kathleen. My father ordered.

"Now Nathan mother seconded."

Nat feeling embarrassed, he bent his head. I think he is contemplating if he should or shouldn't. He got to his feet stepping closer to us while looking princess straight in the face.

"I'm sorry Kathleen it won't happen again." He apologized through gritted teeths

"It better not cuz I won't be this calm next time father said sternly.

Though he apologized to her, I can tell his hatred for her just doubled thus I will need to be with her always.

" Kathleen dear go to your room and take a cool bath then come down for dinner same goes for you two mom said pointing at Nathan and I so we all headed to our various rooms."

"I was in my room when Nathan barged in. And now what do you want big brother." I asked sarcastically.

" You do know I will soon be the Alpha right. He said smirking

"Get to the point as you can see I'm busy."I said rolling my eyes at him.

"Why are you so protective of her? she is not even your mate Nathan whisper-yelled."

"That's none of your business Nat so leave. He laughed evilly as he strode around my room."

" So is my little brother in love with a nobody, a weakling...I Didn't let him finish as I immediately pushed him pinning him to the wall.

"Don't you dare call her name's cuz she is worth more than all those bitches you hang around with and even more better than you future Alpha I growled."

"Let..go.o..f m..e yo..u ar..e chok..ing m.e. I realized I was indeed choking him so I released him as he drop to the floor coughing.

"You might be the future Alpha but know this today. .... my strength supercedes yours in every way so don't push me brother now leave my room."

He left as I tried to calm myself down. Few minutes after our encounter, I headed downstairs for breakfast but before that, I passed by princess room to see if she is still in bed but she wasn't so guess she's already at the dinning. I made my way there and there she is sitting at our usual spot so I took the seat next to her.

"Hey princess are you okay I asked smiling."

"i'm okay Carl she replied smiling back."

"Come ok kids let's eat mom said but Nathan disgusting looks didn't go unnoticed by me. We ate quietly when my father's right hand man and friend came running. He is Lucas second in command the beta."

" I'm sorry for rushing in like this but am afraid the rogues are at it again. Few of them were seen around the territory and I think they are back to complete what they started."

"Damn those rogues he said pissed off. My father woke up and excused himself from the table leaving everyone restless. This is not to be taken lightly cuz the rouges once attacked us and though we won, it took the life of good people including the parents of princess.

"Goodness this rogues are so annoying mom said through gritten teeth as I felt my fist clenched and unclenched and guys there is a secret about my true identity that no one knows but now is not the right time for this."

"Mum calm down we will handle it okay....I said to her."

"I just lost my appetite am going to my room you guys go ahead okay.....mom said."

"Me too said Nathan as he woke up and left with Mom."

"I guess it's just the two of us princess."

" Yeah you are right but Carl what are we going to do?

"Don't worry princess we will take care of it now eat up. We ate our meal in silence."

Anthony's POV

"When my friend Lucas informed me of the rogues loitering around the territory, I got worried so we came into my study. Do you think they are really back to complete what they started? I asked Lucas

"Am hundred percent sure."

"If that be the case then we need to prepare for we do not want to be taken unaware. Training begins and let everyone know the danger ahead and no one leaves the territory without due permission for it is better to be safe than sorry."

"I will do just that but my Anthony why don't you ask the dark moon pack for assistance remember they are the second strongest."

" That's a brilliant idea but you know how Jonathan behaves."

"I know but let's give a try." He insisted and I huffed as i sat down thinking for a while.

"Okay I will do that at once." he just smiled nodding his head in acknowledgement.

LUCAS'S POV.

"After our conversation I decided to leave when my mind thought of something so I turned back to my friend the Alpha.

"Why don't you tell him." He looked at me with questioning eyes.

"You know it's not time.' He said

"But we need him." I insisted

"He has to be complete so let him mate first."

"What if it will be late by then?

"My friend I pray it shouldn't but please we need to keep the pretence till he is ready ok...the Alpha pleaded ."

"Don't worry my friend I will always support your decisions. I will take my leave now and with that I Left. On my way I kept asking myself how is his mate connected to this propechy then I sigh.
