I've always wanted what it'll be like to live a good life , having wonderful friends, riding good cars, owning my own business, traveling around the world and having a good man by my side . Right now I can only imagine at least I make myself happy with my imaginations.....

Life is like a rainbow , it has different colors and ......okay I don't know where I was going with this, but it was supposed to be deep....

My name is Madison James. I'm 20 years old, and I'm your normal average girl and I live with my mom.

I've always been a shy person , filled with anxiety , faced depression , never had real friends, and yeah, lost hope in finding joy and happiness .

I've always been laughed at everywhere , in school , on the road , even at church. I thought we were supposed to love one another , but God high school was the worst. I can remember a very embarrassing incident like it was just yesterday.

(Flashback)

"Hey Maddie, can I borrow your English textbook? "

"Oh yeah sure it's in my bag "

I was to engrossed in what I was reading. I didn't realize that people were laughing. I looked up confused and saw Sophia holding a Barbie pair of panties in her hand.

"Hey Maddie , didn't know you were a fan of Barbie? "

Then I heard another round of laughter. I buried my head in shame. I didn't know how it got into my bag, but who cares I was already laughed at....

( End of flashback)

Enough with all this pity show, I was getting late for work. I worked with Mrs flora at her ice cream shop. She was a very nice woman who always showed me actual kindness. I put my old boots on and headed out the door. It was a ten-minute walk, and I was happy at least I didn't have to spend money on transportation. I put my earphones on and continued my walk , it was peaceful, and I could think properly. After some minutes, the shop came into view, and I was happy. I opened the doors and was welcomed by a bright smile from Mrs flora .

"Good morning Mrs flora "

" Morning child , how are you feeling today" she said as she pinched my cheeks playfully .

"I'm okay I guess , " I said as I grabbed my work apron and put it on , I said a short prayer in my mind and hoped everything would go well............

Fast forward

Few hours later

Finally, my shift was over and I was preparing to go home.

" Here" I looked up and saw Mrs flora handing me a chocolate ice cream .

" I made it just how you like it," she said, smiling .

"Thanks Mrs flora " I collected the ice cream and waved goodbye as I went out the door . This was one of the benefits of working here. I got free ice cream .

I was hopping on my way home while eating my ice cream. I didn't care about the stares I was getting. I feel happy right now. I finally reached my house , I got in, went straight up to my room , took my clothes off and went straight to bed, hoping for a better day tomorrow......

Life is like a balloon ... OK, I really need to stop doing this. I woke up really early today because my mom knocked on my door at five o'clock to inform me that she was going out. I already knew I wasn't seeing her today . When she left, I found it hard to go back to sleep, so I just stared at the ceiling till it was seven .

I got up to get ready for work. When I was done, I headed downstairs to eat breakfast. As usual, my mom didn't make anything for me to eat , but there were dirty dishes in the kitchen sink, so I guess she sorted herself out and forgot she had a living daughter. I made some waffles and downed it with orange juice , I washed the dirty dishes and headed out

"Good morning Jake" Jake is my co-worker at the ice cream shop and the only friend I have. He and Mrs flora of course. He wasn't at work yesterday because he called in sick. He has brown skin, black curly hair , and brown eyes , he was no doubt a very attractive guy.

"Morning Mad " I rolled my eyes at his nickname and he chuckled .

"How are you feeling today? " I asked while putting my apron on.

" I'm OK, I feel better now" he answered with a beaming smile.

" I'm glad you're in today. I felt miserable without you yesterday". I heard the door open, and a guy walked in , no scratch that , a very handsome guy walked in. He was tall , he had his black hair in neat braids, I could see ear piercings , he had beautiful hazel eyes, and he had a very serious look on his face. Besides him, she was a very pretty girl. She had her red hair in. She obviously dyed her hair red, she had brown eyes ,and a killer body. I guess she did surgery on it. After all she looked like a supermodel.

" Oh, I guess they're back" I could hear Jake say from behind the counter .

"You know them ? " I said with my eyes still glued to them, till they settled down .

" Yeah , Michael King and Kimberly Evans. They're both influential people, you know. They haven't been around for a while now, so I guess they're back."

'Ohhh" I said in realization.

"Go ask them what they want maddie" I heard Jake say , I snapped my head to his direction .

"What no, no,no I can't do it, you go. "

" Come on Mad, nothing bad is going to happen , trust me."

I was still hesitant , I didn't want to make a fool of myself and get laughed at.

"Go on Mad" Jake said again. He gave me a reassuring look, and I gave in, I took my notepad, said a short prayer in my head and headed over to their table.

"Good day , what can I get you" I said with the sweetest smile. The guy gave me a very cold look, while his girl gave me a disgusting look. I wish I could just sink to the ground, then the girl spoke up first.

"Get me a butter pecan. What do you want, Michael? I turned to look at Michael waiting for him to give his orders , when we locked eyes I swear my heart stopped beating for a while".

" Mint chocolate chip please" woah his voice was really deep and sexy. Wait what did I just say, I hurriedly wrote down their orders and left the table .....

Jake made their ice creams, and it was my turn to take them to the table. I was feeling very anxious and my hands were literally shaking. Control yourself Maddie, they're just people ..

I got to the table and placed Michael's ice cream In front of him. When I was putting down Kimberly's ice cream I lost balance and spilled it on her instead .

" I'm so sorry, honestly I didn't mean to."

"You stupid girl, look what you've done. I mean how hard it is to place an ice cream on a f*****g table, huh?"

"I'm so sorry please" I was still pleading. I looked around and people were already watching , I was already tearing up..

"Do you know how much my outfit cost you, ugly pauper?"

"I'm so sorry, I apologized again with tears falling from my eyes. I took a quick glance at Michael and saw he was just staring, without even saying a word to help me from this girl's insults......I picked up my tray and ran. I could hear Jake calling, but I ignored it...

I felt suffocated , I needed air. I ran to the back, sat on the floor , and cried my eyes out....

" There's no use crying, Mad stop" Jake said as he sat beside me and drew me closer to him

" Why do people hate me Jake. It was an accident I never meant for that to happen" I said in tears

"It's fine, I know, just go home Mad I'll cover up for you yeah"

I looked at him and wiped the tears of my face.

"Thank you so much". He got up and pulled me up as well I gave him a quick peck on the cheek, then turned to leave..

" I hope you feel better soon Mad."

"I will Jake , thanks again"...

I took a cab home because I didn't feel like walking. When I got home I just sat in our living room and replayed everything that happened. I couldn't stop the tears from flowing again .....I just sat there.
