Secret Luna

Ding.     I was woken by a text from Steph. 'Wake up Sweets and don't forget to dress extra delicious today. Your going to go out with a bang!' If one thing was for sure, Steph was definitely my most precious person. We have been friends for as long as I can remember, and she has always been there for me. Just as I was rolling out of bed my phone started to ring.      " Good Morning Steph."      " Oh good. Your up. Be ready in 15 I'm already leaving my house to come get you."     Fifteen minutes? I needed to rush. A simple Orange Sweater, a dark pair of denim jeans, and my plain black Nikes were going to have to do for the day. Just as I was finishing up brushing my teeth, Steph was outside honking letting me know she was here. I quickly through my hair in a big messy bun before I ran down the stairs heading towards the front door. Before I could make it out, I was quickly grabbed by the collar of my sweater and swung around being flung into the wall. Susan was awake. Susan was my adoptive mother. My parents had both died when I was really young and she was the one that had to take me in. I don't remember what happened to my parents or how Susan of all people became my caretaker, all I knew is that I only had one more day of senior year and that my 18th birthday was tomorrow and I was leaving.     "Why are you running through the house so quickly? Haven't you learned any manners?." Still trying to stop the ringing in my ears from being hit so hard, I was hit again only this time to the back of the leg causing me to fall.     "Hurry up and get out of my house. I am already tired of looking at you."  As soon as she said those words, I was out the door as quick as I could.  Steph was waiting for me blaring our favorite playlist and dancing to the beat. Seeing her instantly made my morning become better. Even though she was my best friend, I never told her about what happened at home. I didn't want her to worry about me anymore than she needed to.     "Why good morning Sweets. Are you ready for today?"     "More than anything. I'm so ready for this to all be over." She just smiled at me and drove off toward school.  We pulled in the parking lot and parked and quickly got out. As we were headed to the front of the school, I stumbled on the curb, falling fast to the ground. Lucky for me, someone caught me mid air and stopped me from falling. As soon as I stood up to thank them, my eyes landed on the most beautiful being I had ever seen. He had honey colored eye, sandy blonde curly hair, and perfect light Caramel complexion that had just the right amount of freckles. His scent was something I had never smelt before and it just pulled me in and captivated me completely. He was at least 6'4 and to my 5'1, he was like a giant. He had the most perfectly chiseled face and you could tell he was physically fit even in his black leather jacket, white shirt and jeans. Wherever he was touching me, sparks were flying. I had never in my life felt anything like this.      " Oh my god, Sweets are you okay?" Steph's voice pulled me right out of my trance and back into reality.     " Ugh yeah, I'm ok. Luckily my fall was stopped by.... "     "Axel. My name is Axel."     "Well Axel, do you think you could let her go now so we can all get to class?" I hadn't even noticed that he was still holding onto me this whole time. As soon as he let go of me, the sparks stopped.     "Sweets, we should really be headed to class. Even though it is our last day, I don't think Mrs. Byers would appreciate us being late."     "Right" was I was able to mutter before she hooked her arm in mine and pulled me in. I turned around to look at Axel and saw that he was following me with his eyes and smiling at me. Who was this guy and where did he come from. The whole day was a blur. All I could think about was Axel. I was in such a daze that I didn't even hear the last bell excusing us for the day. The only thing that broke my trance was all my classmates shuffling out the door.  *************************************************************************************************************** Axel's POV I finally found her. My mate. She was simply breathtaking. Her long black hair, her silky cream colored skin, her bright blue eyes, and her scent was so intoxicating that it sent my wolf into hyperdrive in my head. She captivated all of my senses without even trying. My body yearned for her and I needed her. Then she stumbled, giving me the perfect chance to make a move. As soon as I caught her, Sparks flew through every point of contact setting my body of fire. My inner wolf was howling and racing in my mind signaling that she was indeed our mate. As soon as we made eye contact, my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. I needed this woman and I needed her now. Before I could say anything her friend pulled her out of the trance we were in.      " Oh my god, Sweets are you okay?"      " Ugh yeah, I'm ok. Luckily my fall was stopped by.... "     "Axel. My name is Axel." Was all I could say. I kept studying every inch of her face before she soon slipped out of my arms and walked off. I kept my eyes on her until she was out of sight, unable to do anything else. I quickly ran to my truck to make a call to my beta to fill him in on the situation.     "Lex, I found her man. She is here in Westbrook. I can't believe it. She has been right under my nose and I couldn't even see it."     "That's amazing Ax, what is she like?" As I give Lex the details of my mate, I quickly realized that I didn't even know her name. I waited for the day to end and tracked her in the halls. I wanted to make it look as if we just bumped into each other. When I saw her, my heart started up again. Finally she bumped into me sending sparks all though my body.      " Oh, hello. I didn't expect to bump into you again."      " Ugh hey." She looked so beautiful with every word that fell from her mouth. All I wanted to do was taste her precious lips.     " I'll just wait for you at the car Sweets. If he gives you any sort of trouble, call me." Steph gave me the most awful look she could muster before walking off.     " Did I do something ?"     " No she is just really protective over me. You are okay. So if you don't need anything I'm just going to go ahead and go. she doesn't like to wait for long."     " Actually, I was hoping I could get your number to text you sometime. If that is okay with you." She took a minute to respond, but it felt like a lifetime. She finally broke the silence by asking for my hand. The second she touched me, chills went through my body and my heart felt like it was going to pound out of my chest. She wrote her number on my hand before giving me a quick smile and walked away. I watched as she reached the doors and left, yearning for her to come back into my arms.
