When they got home the family was equally sad for Neri, freaked out about what happened, and furious at the Count for being in danger again.
Bruno had given up her room to her mom, and both she and Neri would spend the night with him. Neri’s mom was emotionally drained and went right to bed.
The Count put in a letter to Jonathan, gave him a brief sketch of what had happened, and asked him to meet him at home early in the morning. He wanted him there when he talked to Jawar. It took a while, but he was able to convince Mom and Lor that he was fine and he finally got them both to head off to bed.
Bruno had called Lor to let her know Neri was alright, but that things were pretty bad, and she asked Bruno to come over the next day as well.
