Reborn with hatred

chapter 12

Bethany's pov

When John had left me to head back to my sister's house I had decided to start planning her death. I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted her to suffer so much. I researched different poisons and their effects on a person's body. I must find one that will have her struggling to stay alive but not knock her out in an instant. I have decided to mix ricin and oleander into a powder and then melt it down into a liquid to fill a syringe. Now all I needed to do was find someone to make this mixture for me.

And with that my search for help had begun.

John's pov

I walked into the house that I reluctantly share with Cassandra. Sniffing the air I noticed she must have cooked because the air smells of food. I believe that her cooking skills are the only thing I like about her. Apart from Bethany Cassandra was an exceptionally great cook she was like an artist in the kitchen. I walked into the dinning hall and saw her setting up the table.

"Something smells good" I said and smiled at her. As I walked closer to her I noticed how she was smiling and when she went to reach up and kiss me I hurried and diverted my mouth to the side to make her kiss my cheek and not my lips. Seeing her look after that happened I dipped my finger in the Crème brûlée and gave it a taste. Making it seem as though I didn't realize she was trying to kiss me. Hopefully my acting worked as I didn't want to alarm her that I get a bile taste in my mouth every time she even touches me, but soon I can stop my acting and be with my beloved Bethany.

Soon the boys walked in and hooted about how much they love Cassandra and her food. I only sat and nodded in agreement so as not to draw any suspicion. I noticed Cassandra looked over at me one last time before devoting herself to the boys and making everyone's plates stacking food onto them. In all honesty I kind of felt bad about what we were going to do to Cassandra, but then thinking of how she left Bethany I can't seem to be eager to rid my lover's rival. Trying to take my mind off of it I had decided to join everyone and started eating this delicious food.
