“Sean?” I asked in an almost whisper.
“Yeah, what is it?”
“Do you think we can just go to my house?”
“I don't see why not, but I thought you wanted to stay at my house.”
“I don't think that I can put up with everyone there. I mean how many in the house now where I really was.”
“Three, is all that knows.”
“Sean, no one else knows.”
“No, they don't. It's just me my dad and mom.”
He pulled off to the side of the road. “Nora, you're going to be fine, okay nothing is wrong with you.”
“I know, I just don't want to be around people just yet. What if I lose it and went crazy? Then what?”
“You’re not going to lose it Nora, you fine okay but, we will still go to your house if that's what you want.”
“I want to go to my house and go to bed.”He turned a U and head to my house. Ten minutes later I unlocked the front door. All the lights were off.
“Mom I'm home.” I yelled out. “Mom?”
I looked back at Sean as he locked the door up again.
“I'll be right back. I ran up to her room. Mom?”
“Hey, Nora. Come here.” I walked down to the kitchen. Sean handed me a note.
I read it out loud.
Dear Nora.
Your mother and I are going to be gone for a week or two. We will call when we get into the city.
Talk to you later. Your father.
I throw the paper in the trash. Sean walked up to me. Putting his hands on my shoulders. “I will never leave you Nora.”
I hugged him. Everything begins to fade. Last thing I know Sean was walking me up the stairs in his arms. He laid me down on the bed and then lay down next to me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A gun was at my head.
“Just pull the point Nora and all this will be over.”
I could feel the gun in my hand and against the back of my head. I could feel hands around my neck and then couldn't.
“Pull it Nora. You know you what to.” He whispered in my ear.
Wait. I turned to see Louise. I die in my dreams I die in the real life.
He smiled.
“Why do you want me died so badly?” I asked coldly.
He smile faded. “I don't want you died and if you were to die in your dream all you would do is just wake up. But- Nora you don't need to think what the world thinks. You're different.” He smiled again.
“How?” I moved away from him.
“You'll see.” His hand was around my waist. “Don't touch me.” I pulled away. He pulled me closer. “I said don't touch me.” I put my hands on his shoulders and pushed back. He went flying in the wall.
I looked down at my hands. Did I just do that? He smiled an evil smile. “That one reason why. And that's one reason why I won't kill you. But I said nothing about not hurting you.” He came at me throwing me to the ground and landing on top of me. I tried to get him off.
“You're strong but not strong enough for me.” He hit me hard on the arm. I screamed at the plain. He pulled away then leaned down and kissed me hard. I tried to move my head but he had too much of a grip.
"If, you, kill yourself in your dreams you’ll wake up." His voice echoed throw my head. I looked for the gun.
I screamed out again as he broke my ribs with only his hands. I looked behind him. Then to the side. I laid my eyes on a black gun. I moved to it. He saw my move. Pulling my arm back and hitting in the same place again.
“STOP!” I screamed.
He stopped at looked up at me.
“Why?” I cried out. “Why are you doing this to me?”
He grabbed the gun and pulled it to my arm. He fared a shot. I could feel the gun digging into my neck and then into my head. “Why, just tell me, why you are doing this to me.” I cried out in pain.
He pulled the gun back and then shot me in the head.
I sated upright in bed. Pushing my hair from my face. Sean was up a second later. “Are you okay, what happen?”
“It was, Louise, again, but this time he told me that I was different that I wasn't like other people. That he wasn't going to kill me.” I said.
“But isn't that what he been wanting to do. To kill you?” He asked.
“I don't know I mean the whole time that I was with him the only thing that he did what hit me and came close to killing me but didn't. “ I looked at him.
“Wait, what do you mean come close.” He asked again.
I tried to put the words in place but couldn't. I grabbed the bottom of my shirt.
“This.” I pulled my shirt off to be just in my bra. At first he didn't know what to do or say. He looked at me.
“What happen?” He looked at me. I could tell that he wanted to say something but couldn’t.
“I-I got out and I was running.... Gun shots where going off everywhere. I came to a lake. I jumped in and he shot me seven times in the back.” I said.
“His not-he can't do that.” The words were hard for him.
Well I think he did. He looked at me. Worry in his eyes. “Nora do you have anything other scars from him.” He moved his hand over the marks. I thought about it for a minute. “Not that I know of.” He studied me then quietly kissed me on the head and run out of the rooms.
I put my shirt back on and went to found him.
As I past the mirror on the wall I saw Louise. I froze. He walked out next to me. “You know you look good without a shirt on.” His finger ran don't my back. Really fast he turned me around and ripped off my shirt. “Please don't.” I cried out. He ran his hand down my back. “You know I fared ten rounds but you only have seven shots. I've been out of practice now how I?” He smells of moist and dry blood.
“I can give you pain Nora.” The small place that he hit me in the dream started hurting in the place, but it was a new pain.
