The weekend of the party was finally here. I told Jordan I had a listing appointment so I could pick Bella and River up at the airport. He was meeting me for dinner that night. We got there first and sat at a table facing the door. When he walked in, the look on his face was priceless. The kids rushed out of their chairs and jumped on him. It was quite the scene. We had a lovely dinner and then Jordan took the kids home to his apartment.
I was organizing cash in envelopes for the various vendors when there was a knock on the door. I opened it and was surprised to see Jordan again. I figured he’d be home with his kids.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” I asked.
