(Seraphina POV)
I came back from the office after that incident, and Caine didn’t stop me from leaving. Aiden and Blaze were already home, so I will not be alone with my miserable thoughts.
I stepped out of the car and headed inside. Aiden and Blaze were in a Zoom meeting, so I didn’t disturb them and headed straight to my room, even though Blaze saw me but didn’t stop. I locked the door of my room and decided to take a nap to relax my already exhausted body.
“Let’s sleep, Sera! Today was wild, and we need some sleep to regain our energy.” I gave myself a little pep-talk; even Julie was looking a little sad today with her little ears down, lacking the usual sassy energy.
