---Thomas POV---
I made it to Minerva's bed and tried to make it a night worth her time. I have been dying for her to bring up us being together and merging the packs, but she just won't budge. I fell asleep with her against me dreaming of what it would be like with her all the time if she would agree so I wouldn't have to kill her.
---
I hear the alarm going off and Minerva reached to turn it off. When she turned it off I was greeted with a shove off the bed. "What the f**k was that for." I groaned out.
"Keeping me up late when I have to be up at 4:30." she replied. "Now get up we have training."
I mumbled under my breath about how much of a b***h move that was as she made her way to the bathroom. I stood up looking around and grabbed my phone to check if there was anything to be concerned about.
"Call when you can. The child is getting sick."
I groaned and put my phone away. I walked to the bathroom as Minerva was brushing her teeth. I did my business and felt her eyes on me, studying me, sizing me up. Almost like she went back to knowing it was me behind everything.
She left to her closet so I finished up brushing my teeth and pulling my hair back since I'm attending training. I walked out of the bathroom to see her emerge in her orange sports bra and royal blue shorts. She was so beautiful in those colors with her tan skin and long dark hair.
Smirking I asked, "You still have some of my clothes in your closet?"
"Yeah you know where they are." was her reply. I still feel off about this situation, something didn't feel right. I went in and changed to some shorts with a tank top on and headed out with her.
We got to the fields and I noticed instantly it was hand to hand today. I watched her quickly go to Henry, avoiding me. I was only half focused on Stephan because I was studying her every move. I could see the surprise on Henry's face when she was getting hits on him, she was so focused.
When we were finished she disappeared and I went to my normal guest room I have there. I took a quick shower, got dressed, and went outside to make my call.
Ringing twice I hear a low "hello," on the other side.
"What do you mean the child is getting sick? You should be in a clean place or at least it was when I put you and the child there.?" I said with a growl.
"She is eating and drinking but she is getting pale and coughing." was the reply of the woman rogue.
"Is she feverish?"
"No, she is fine vitally but we can't afford to lose this leverage, sir."
"Let me think on it and research what we can do about it."
"Yes sir."
I hung up wondering what was going on with the child. I don't know a lot about witch children, but never heard of anything like this before. This was about to get interesting if I don't get this plan in action.
----
I was walking up to Minerva's office when I passed her head omega Kelly and her daughter.
"Alpha Thoma," she said with a curt nod.
"Ms. Kelly" I acknowledged back. I norml do not pay attention to the likes of omegas but this woman helped Minerva's father raise her upon her mothers death. Didn't she say her mother was angel, how could that be used against her? I was thinking of different ways when I made it to her office and knocked then entered.
The look on her face should have put me 6ft under. She didn't look happy that I was here, so I thought about taunting her.
"Well Minerva, you thought you could hide from me huh?" I said smirking at her.
"Actually no Thomas, I have Alpha things to attend to so unfortunately I'll need you to leave me and my office." she said flatly.
"Well excuse me, I'll be in your library when you want to find me."
She went to looking at her computer and waved me off. I walked out and headed down to her library, it was there I came across a small framed woman with red hair. She was a pretty thing but she looked at me like I was dead meat.
"Hello, I'm Alpha Thomas. What is your name?"
"Like it's any of your business but it's Sarah." she said with a flip of her hair.
I ignored her and walked on. I felt her eyes on me as I walked away and tried not to tense from it. She was studying me just like Minerva. These women in this packhouse was flooring me in every way, like they were judging me.
I made my way to a section that was labeled history. I was rummaging when I felt eyes on me again. I looked up and seen noone. "I must be going crazy or paranoid," I muttered while I searched. I found the book on witches and pulled it and started flipping. I was halfway through it when I seen a section about their health. It read that if a child is separated to long from any source of magic they will start to fade. It also stated the same for mates. There were specific spells to help them withstand separation longer but they weren't listed. I read further and decided I'll have to attack Saturday that it was the only way to keep the child alive long enough to take out Minerva.
Now I just need to get her to postpone the mating ball and I'll be in the clear.
