Chapter TWENTY: Jason

My goodness my mate is absolutely beautiful.  He was everything I dreamed about and I couldn't help but drool over how perfectly built he was.  I visibly eye r***d him taking in his defined 6 pack, perfect pecks and those arms that could pin me anytime they wanted.  He was just absolutely gorgeous.

"Are you going to lay there and stare or are we going to finish getting undressed and taking a much needed shower?" he asked smirking at me.

Rolling my eyes and smirking at him, I stood up and slid my dress off my shoulders letting it drop to the floor.  I was still in my stilettos, so I stepped out of my dress and sauntered my way up to him.  I could see the fight on his face wanting to take me then and there but also wanting to shower.  I smiled and walked past him pulling my hair out of its braid where it flowed behind me.  I could feel him watching me so I added a little sway to my walk.

"Well I would have rejected you on the spot if I didn't know the stories, the prophecy, and how you really are.  Just because you have the reputation you do, Zane knows you do what you need to do as a necessity," Jason replied touching my cheek.

"Hopefully you're right.  Let's shower and call it a night.  I have a war to prepare for and a mate to protect."

"Right. Well come on.  For real this time, no interruptions," he grinned at me.  

We made it in the shower, this time and I stood under the hot water when I felt the tingles around my waist where Jason wrapped his arms around me.  He rested his chin on my shoulder and didn't say a word, "Are you okay?" I asked him.

"No, honestly.  Never realized I would actually be mated to a wolf, let alone one that would be so powerful.  Not that any of this is a bad thing, but both of my parents died when Kate and I were born and we never knew of any thing we were destined for until Zane's parents tracked down where we were when they found out about our parents.  I grew up with wolves and always wished to be one but here I am with a wolf mate and instead of truly being able to enjoy it, we have other things to worry about because of a rouge alpha who has his feelings hurt," he spilled out to me.  It was shocking he felt this cool about all of this but then again he was raised in a wolf pack.  

"Well let's worry about what is ahead and when we make it through this we can look deeper into yours and Kate's background and find out everything that we can," I said turning to face him.

"ALPHA! THEY'RE ATTACKING ALREADY."

I jumped out of the shower yelling at Jason, "Get Kate and follow our omegas!" as I ran out into the hall.  Slate was coming out at the same time I did and Kate looked petrified.  "Follow Jason and our omegas!" I yelled at her as well.

I hit the third floor landing and shifted into Alectrona with Erebus behind us.  I jumped the railing with people running around heading to the bunkers under the pack house.  I went straight for the door when I felt the building shake.  Dark witches were blasting the pack house with magic.  Then I felt it.
