Chapter 21 Later that night… Cortez couldn’t shake the feeling that something was watching him. Something or someone. Ever since he’d seen the reflection in the mirror, he couldn’t stop obsessing over what he might have seen. Because he was sure it had been Hector Rocha standing there, walking closer and closer to where he was. But it couldn’t have been possible, since nothing was there when he turned around. There was a certain coolness in the air, one that brought a chill uncommon for a hot Texas night. Even with the A/C on, Cortez felt as if he’d somehow landed in the Arctic.
