Chapter 12

1320 Words
Upon reaching her room, she looks in her bag for her phone, purse and her crimson lipstick which she can never miss. When she is going to leave the room she looks at the card and the gift box that Amir sent her and her curiosity takes over all of her. At a slow pace, she reaches her bedside table and taking the gift box leaves the room, when she is back in the living room, Jason waits for her by the door, but seeing Emily's face he closes it hard and He strides over to her. “What's up Emi?" She's pale... inside the box, there are some beautiful sapphire earrings. Their color was the most impressive, they are blue, like the sky. Like the color of her eyes... Spring water. "Oh my god…" She whispers breathlessly. “Shit...!" Jason exclaims in astonishment at the sight of the earrings. Angry at the significance of the gift, Emily puts them back in the small box and sets it on the small table in front of the sofa. "But he's crazy! I cannot accept such a gift... I will return it!" She thinks out loud. Looking at her stunned and full of curiosity, Jason asks: "But who gave you such expensive earrings? Do you know how many thousands of dollars a sapphire costs in this country? Emi!! Introduce me to your friend…” He laughs mockingly and Emily glares at him, silencing him. “Let's forget such barbarity and let's go." She blurts out, ignoring the large gift. ****** The three trucks with all of Amir's entourage stop in front of Emily's building, and when he is about to get out of the second truck, he stops on the spot when he sees her leaving the building with Jason at his side, very smiling. The darkness invades all his reason and clenching his jaw as much as possible, Amir reluctantly orders the driver with his bestial tone of voice: “Follow them." The chauffeur obeys and the three vans closely follow Jason's car, until it stops in front of a distasteful and seedy restaurant for Amir. Upon arrival, the Arab watches as Jason hugs Emily with excessive affection and she does not resist, quite the contrary, she returns the hug. "I'll kill her..." Amir whispers under his breath, unheard, as he watches them enter the seedy restaurant. She doesn't answer my calls, runs away from town, now she's back and doesn't even bother to tell me if she got my messages or the gift. But she does have time to go out with that whipper. I'm so angry that I don't know if I can control myself! Regardless of what he may think, he won't move from there, he can't and deep down, no matter how angry he is now, he doesn't want to. He will wait, he will wait until he sees her leave the restaurant and knows where they are going. Yes, he will wait as long as it takes. ****** Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere among all those present is at its best, the musical band that sets the scene has made all the diners dance. And what joy, laughter and drinks, now be what abound in every corner of the exclusive restaurant called: Chicago Level's. Jason and Emily have been no exception, as they have left their souls in the middle of the improvised dance floor. They have danced as hard as they could, like in the old days when they were teenagers. Tired, they both return to their table and order their last round of drinks. When the waiter arrives with the drinks, Jason looks at her and smiles seeing the woman he loves most in the world smile. “ This is how I always want to see my sister, smiling." Emily looks up at him and smiles again, she is heartily grateful for having Jason in her life, if he hadn't come to her house, she would be lost, she would be very emotional about Amir's gift. Jason has always been the engine of her life, for as long as she can remember. There is not a single childhood memory where he is not. There isn't a single memory in Emily's life where he isn't. Because he is always there, even when she doesn't want to and just wants to escape alone, he is always there. His brother is always there, like the superhero he has always been. “Thank you, I also wish the same for you, I always want to see you smile." Jason nods and as he finishes his last drink, he pushes aside the small glasses cluttering the table and links his hands with Emily's. —“Who is the man who has broken the heart of the woman who gave me reason to exist?" Emily's vision blurs and pouting, she mutters: "If I told you, you wouldn't believe me." Two hours later... Amir watches them leave the restaurant and his bad mood returns when he sees that they both look in high spirits. He can bet that Emily is a little drunk and that will make him even more furious. As they both get into the car, Amir signals to his driver and he skids down the road to follow them again. The three SUVs stop again in front of Emily's building and she gets out of his brother's car with a big smile, followed by him who accompanies her to the entrance of the building and gives her a big hug plus a resounding kiss on the cheek, says goodbye to she. As Amir watches Jason leave, a huge sigh of relief comes out of him as he closes his eyes, at the same time, he lets out all the breath he's held since seeing her walk out with him. Allah, this that I am feeling for her is going to kill me. That is if she doesn't do it first. Without waiting for Mihair, he opens the door of the truck and closing it with force, he crosses the avenue with agility while running without caring about anything and leaving his entourage far behind. When he arrives at the reception, the concierge stops him for a few moments but when he sees Amir's face, he immediately remembers him and lets him pass without any problem. In a rush, Amir presses the elevator key nonstop until the elevator opens the doors in front of him. Marking Emily's floor, the elevator doors close and for a split second before they close, Amir can see how his bodyguards try to stop the elevator to get to him and, unable to stop it, his faces show terror. Only because Amir slipped away from them in the blink of an eye. Reaching the fifteenth floor, the elevator doors open and determined, Amir strides to Emily's door. Yes, he is furious. And he proves it by ringing the bell twice in a row and then the door with great persistence, until he hears her shout with noticeable weariness in her voice a loud: “I'm going!!" When Emily unlocks the door, she carefully opens it and before opening it completely and without knowing who is behind the door, she asks: “Who are you?" Agitated and more moody than usual, Amir whispers in his rough, bestial voice: "Open the f*****g door!" Emily rolls her eyes and with quick breathing, she pales. Robert didn't have time to tell her on the phone that Amir was going upstairs as he was accosted by his entire entourage. And since she doesn't open the door completely for him, Amir carefully pushes her away and enters the apartment without her permission, closing the door behind him now with force. Meanwhile, seconds later, he takes her by the neck with great care and corners her against the nearest wall and, full of fury, he blurts out: "You are cheeky!"
