TRIXIE'S POV
The moment that deep, rumbling voice echoed through the hallway, my body reacted before my brain could even think. I turned around on my heels, and my heart literally leaped right into my throat.
It was Hunter.
He was walking toward me, his tall, massive frame completely cutting through the crowd of students. The entire hallway went dead silent. Everyone stopped what they were doing just to stare at him.
Hunter didn't look at a single one of them. His dark eyes were locked entirely on me.
He closed the distance between us in three long strides. Without even asking, he wrapped his large, warm hands firmly around my waist, pulling me right against his chest. He leaned his head down, his lips hovering just inches from my ear.
