After Her Go

338 Words
After he left I often felt very lonely and I cried a lot. To relieve all my sadness and longing for him, I could only hug and read the book Shabir gave me. I want to forget all the sadness and fulfill the last message before his departure. because of that I decided after finishing high school to leave this island and go to another island to study religion. In 2017, precisely in August, I left and when I passed the village of birth as well as my final resting place I said goodbye. With tears I ask him to pray for safety and ease in learning religion, and I pray that. Shabir is calm in his resting place. "I love you Shabir" I said while crying. Six months later, I returned to my beloved village to meet my parents and relatives and friends. Now I feel better, my heart has calmed down, and I have been willing to let go of Shabir who had stopped at the dock of my love. I re-opened the box containing his mementos. I looked back at the poetry I had written for him. I wrote the poem with all my heart. "Temporary Stopover" I saw a beautiful ship came to my dock which was fragile and full of darkness. It illuminates my pier with its beautiful light, But what can I do, I'm just a temporary haven for him. He had to go to where his main goal was. I wish I could hold him here forever, but what can I do, I'm just a rigid inanimate object. Can only helplessly watch him go. I can only say a prayer, I hope you are happy and safe towards your life goals. That's the content of the poem I wrote for him. I can't feel my tears flowing again reading this poem. after that I re-enter and close this box. I sighed then wiped my tears and said in my heart that I must be strong and turn over a new leaf.
