My savior

Chapter 14

The next day came quicker than I liked. I woke up to Ms. Dursilla shaking me to wake up.

"Come on, Eva. You need to get ready for your doctor's appointment. "

"I'm up. I just need to lie down a bit more."

"You have 5 minutes. If I didn't hear you shower, I'm going to grab you by your hair and force you to shower. Is that clear? "

"Yes, ma'am."

She left me alone in my room and I lay down thinking about what would happen today. Once I was satisfied, I got up with my crutches in hand to help me go to the bathroom. I went inside, took off my clothes and sling on my chest, and took a shower. After I was done, I put a towel around me and went to my closet to get my outfit. I changed my clothes and put on the sling on my chest.

After I was done changing, I took my crutches and went downstairs to eat breakfast. The stairs were a very challenging thing for me, but there was a teenage boy who helped me, and I'm thankful to him. He is a kind person and very caring. He helps everyone around the house, even if it's not his job to do so.

I ate my breakfast and then I heard the bell ring. The teenage boy who helped me went to see who was there. He opened the door and I saw Dr. Miller come in. I had my attention on my breakfast again and I heard him coming near me.

"Good morning, Eva."

I looked back at him and said

"Morning Brian."

"Are you ready to go? Done with your breakfast? "

I nodded my head, took my crutches, and we went to the car. Dr. Miller, or should I say, Brian, helped me to the car, and we left the orphanage and went to the hospital. The car was silent and comfy. No one spoke till we reached the hospital.

Once we arrived, he parked the car, and we both got out of the car and went inside the hospital. We took a little bit more time than usual because of my crutches. We reached the office, Brian opened it, and we went inside.

"You can take a seat on the couch. We are going to wait for my sister and then we will go. "

He said. I sat down on the couch and stretched my legs. I played with my hands, a habit of mine when I am nervous, for a bit till Jane came.

"Hello, Eva. How are you today? "

She said as she entered the room without knocking on the door.

"nervous"

I said as I looked down.

"Don't be. I'll be here with you all the time, ok? "

"Ok"

"Alright, then, let's go."

Brian said as he stood up from his desk and helped me stand up. I got my crutches and then we left the office. We walked through the corridors, turning right and left based on Brian's direction. We finally arrived at the place that I dread a lot. I saw a bench near the room and sat on it. I tried to catch my breath from walking around too long and from my nerves.

"Are you ok, Eva?"

I heard Jane as she sat next to me.

"I'm scared, nervous, and worried. I've never been to an OBYGN before. So, it's kind of hard for me to just go inside and get naked for someone to see me."

"Oh Eva, you won't be all naked. There will be a blanket to cover your legs, and when the time comes, the doctor will take a look at your private parts, and that's it. It will be uncomfortable, but I'll try to distract you, okay?"

"Ok"

Just as we finished our conversation, Brian came to us and told us the doctor was ready and that he would wait for us here. Jane helped me stand up, and I took my crutches, and we both went to the room.

When I entered the room, the bed was different. It wasn't a normal bed. It was more like a chair but had things to put my legs on. The tools looked scary, and overall I felt more frightened than before.

"Hello, Eva."

The doctor said she was in her forties and looked friendly, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't hurt me.

"Hi"

I grabbed Jane's hand and squeezed it hard.

"I know you're scared, Eva, but I promise I won't hurt you. The tools may be uncomfortable, but I won't hurt you. It'll take 5–10 minutes max. Now can you please take off your pants and underwear and wear the Gown? "

She said as she gave me a hospital gown to wear. I looked at Jane, and she gave me a relieved smile. The doctor and Jane turned around, and I took off my pants and underwear and put on the Gown. My legs were cold as the cold air hit them. I felt shivers run through my legs to my private part.

"I'm done."

They both turned around, and the doctor told me to lie down on the weird bed.

"Ok, Eva. Put your legs on each of the holders and I'll strap them so they don't fall, ok? "

I nodded my head. I put my legs on the holders and she strapped them. Cold air rushed between my legs, and I shivered. Jane held my hand and rubbed my shoulders for comfort. The doctor put a blanket on my legs and I felt slightly warm.

"OK, I'm going to start. If it feels too uncomfortable, squeeze her hand and I'll stop. "

"Ok"
