It’s been over two days since I last saw Ciara, and now, she isn’t answering my text messages or calls. Normally, I wouldn’t give a s**t if a woman contacts me. This stupid connection with Ciara is something that is becoming difficult to ignore. The chemistry between us, I have never felt with anyone. We spent one night together, and I am thinking about her non-stop. We didn’t even have s*x! I just enjoyed her company.
Why am I so irritated that she isn’t answering her phone? Isn’t this a good thing? Cutting ties now rather than later? Asher growls in anger at the idea.
‘Or! Maybe you are getting attached to our mate.’ Asher snickers at me. I roll my eyes. I refuse to argue again with my wolf over the mate bond. I haven’t accepted the mate bond, nor will I accept it.
