Mia's POV:
After seeing Veronica run out of my mother's office, I sighed and stood up from the guest chair, ready to return to my class.
"Mia," Mom called softly as she walked over to me.
"I'm so sorry about how Veronica treated you. I've already sent for a new shirt for you as compensation. Please forgive her, okay?" Mom spoke guiltily as she held my hand, looking into my eyes.
Sighing, I replied, "Alright, Mom. I've forgiven Veronica, but it's best if she keeps her distance from me. I think she's jealous because she doesn't like me. So why does she have to pick on me?"
"Shush," Mom hushed me and said, "It's fine. I'll talk to my brother, Beta Blake, to speak to his daughter. Lana can't do it alone."
"Alright, Mom," I said, then left my mother's office and walked back to my class.
