"Babe, when did you arrive here? I wasn't expecting to see you," Veronica said, her voice soft as she rushed up to envelop me in a hug.
I had arrived at this jewelry store to purchase a gift for Mia, just like Luis suggested, since she was going to become our little sister in a few days' time.
Luis said it wouldn't be polite of us if we didn't give her any present.
I agreed with my brother, but I hadn't expected to encounter Mia and Veronica here again. They were always at each other's throats, fighting and not wanting to be friends. But I hadn't expected Godwin to side with his sister and want to attack Mia.
Shouldn't Godwin be the older brother and try to make peace between them? Instead, he wants to beat up Mia because he is my beta and second in command in this pack.
