“I don’t need to be telling you to take good care of her now, do I? She needs lots of rest and care if she is going to get better. Also, do not push her to remember anything. It will all come to her sooner or later. If you notice anything amiss, head back here immediately. Is all that clear?” She asked, somehow managing to look him down, even though he stood several feet above her.
“Yes, ma’am. We’ve been over all this a million times. I’ve got it all down pat. Thank you very much.” Jake replied, clearly forcing himself not to burst into laughter.
“He really is incredibly good-looking.” Sally thought to herself, staring at the deep dimples in his cheek as he tried not to laugh.
