Chapter 2: Hospital

"Are you sure you'll ride on your own to the hospital?? You can just call me when you want to visit dad." my brother ask which made me nod and lay my bag on the ground.
"Yeah its alright, I already told ate Nena last night to get my car ready since I'll use it once I arrive. Also Im no longer a child kuya, I can handle it on my own." I answered. He was a bit hesitant but later on he just sigh in defeat when he saw that I am determined on traveling alone.
I also really want to be alone right now since I want to call Clinton.
"Okay fine, just call me when you need me. Ihahatid ko muna sila Kate bago pumunta sa hospital, becareful on your way kay? " he said which made me smile and nodded. Later on I give him a glare when he pat my head and messed my hair before he left. He doesn't seem like he change, he still see me as he's minor sister haha.
"Caterina, ayos ka lang ba jan iha?" my gaze turn to ate Nena who just arrived. I smiled seeing her after a long time, after that night I also left her along with the people here.
Only dad and ate Nena knows I'm pregnant, even my brother doesn't know anything about Clinton cause I know he will knocked the hell out of Owen if he knows about it.
I'm just saving that asshole's life.
Good thing ate Nena never told anyone about it, she's really a keeper.
Even when I'm in the Italy she always chat me on messenger about the do's and dont's on having a baby. She also reminds me on what foods I should eat, and what I should wear, she's like a mother to me.
"Yes ate Nena Im fine here, how about you? I missed you so much ate." I said smiling and got up to hug her tight.
"Anlaki mo na iha, dami mo ng pinagbago." she answered and hug me back before brushing my hair. I missed her so much.
"Teach me how to speak tagalog again ate, I already forgot some of the words already huhu." I said while still hugging her.
"Aba'y walang problema yan. Onga pala, kamusta na siya?" I loose from her hug and smiled before reaching my phone on the floor and turn it on. I showed her his pictures since young up until now.
"Ang gwapong bata, manang mana sayo anak." she commented while still looking at Clint's photos. She's quite teary eyed so I lean on her shoulders after we sat down on the mattress.
"Alam na ba nila ang tungkol sakanya?" she suddenly ask which made me feel guilty. I shook my head before lying on her lap. I can feel the guilt crawling on me, I know my friends will get mad at me for hiding Clinton but I need to do that just so they won't worry about me. I want peace of mind with my son that's why I distance myself to them. Good thing my father isn't that mad. Only the three of them knows about Clint.
"Do you wanna talk to him ate?" I ask ate Nena which made her eyes sparkle, I laugh a bit before reaching the phone from her hand and texted Riley that I'll be calling them right now.
"Hi baby! How are you?"
"Hellow mamma! Tita Riley bought me car! look!" he excitedly show me his new cars which made me smile.
"Wow! Did you thank Tita Riley with that?" I asked which made him nod and widely smile at Riley who just watch my child yapping.
"Si mamma! She made adjobo and lashagna! Delizioso! But yours much yum!" I just laugh on what he says before I glance at ate Nena, her eyes were a bit teary but she immediately wipe it and laugh at my kid's adorableness.
"By the way baby this is ate Nena, your nanny when you're little. " I said to him, he seems confused but still he wave his hands while smiling.
"Ciao Nanny! Shono Clinton!"
"Jusko ang laki mo na baby, parang kailan lang nung huli kong hawak sayo." ate nena said while touching the screen, when I gave birth to Clint she was there to watched over me but then there's an emergency on her family the reason why she goes back here in the Philippines.
"Tita Riley, I don't understand what she says." we heard him whisper to Riley which made me laugh.
"She said she misses you." he smiled and just nod, not knowing what to answer. We just talk for awhile before we bid goodbye.
I'm getting ready to visit Dad. I've just grabbed my bag, put on a cap, and worn glasses so I won't run into someone familiar.
"Mag ingat ka sa daan iha." I heard ate Nena said which made me nod and went out the house.
I just use my car and drove it to the hospital. I totally forgot where the hospital is, good thing gps exist. But the problem here is it might take some time to reach there since its still rush hour.
Damn I should've came early. Oh well I don't have a choice, I'm already in the middle of the road now.
How I miss this place, I opened the window and regret it when I feel that my nose is getting itchy.
I sneeze when a motorcycle passed by which made my brows furrowed, the heck was wrong with that old man? He should at least slow down since we're not here to race!
I sneeze again the reason why my glass fall on my lap, I was about to close the window but I stop middway when another motorcycle stop besides me.
He was riding a Ducati superbike, wearing a black helmet, gloves and riding jacket. He looks cool tho and manly, I've seen tons of men like this in Italy but damn this guy has great charisma I bet he's handsome. But oh well not really my type.
I wasn't really gonna mind him but I got conscious when he looks at my side, I mean I'm not sure if he was staring at me but I feel like he really was looking at me.
I just raised my brows at him before closing the window.
My car is tinted so I know he won't see me, I'm not assuming it's just that I can feel he's gaze thru his helmet. Never mind.
I grab my glass and slide it up to the top of my head when the cars in front of me finally move.
When I drove away, I glanced again from the side mirror to see the motorcycle guy and was confused when I saw him still on the road not moving.
He was cussed by the other riders and cars coz he was blocking the way. Weird.
Minutes later I finally reached the hospital, my brother Zion already told me which floor and room my dad's in so I just immediately went to where he is.
Visitor is still not allowed to go inside the icu, so I just waited outside the room. I already talk to his doctor, and he said that it might take a while for him to be in the icu since his condition is quite severe.
I sighed, I'm pretty sure he overwork his self again which lead him to this situation. I already remind him many times to always watch on what he eats and not to stress his self from his work.
For now I'm planning to take over some of dad's businesses since my brother is also busy on his own, he might get crazy if he has multiple business in mind.
I have also a small business in Italy, I owned a clothing line there but since I have a assistant with me she'll be handling it for awhile.
"Excuse me miss, are you Miss Caterina Aria Luan?" I came back from my reverie when a woman suddenly appear infront.
"Yes." I answered and stood up, if I could've been the same Caterina along ago I would've raised my brows and rudely answer her asking what she wants. But I've changed, not totally though.
"I'm Marissa your dad's secretary, I came here to talk to your brother will he visit here later?" she asks which made my brows furrowed, her voice became shy when she ask about my brother. She's quite young, tall and pretty but Kate is much prettier she don't stand a chance with her.
She even look around like she's waiting for someone. Doesn't she know that my brother already has wife? Stupid girl.
"No, he won't be around today. Why do you want to talk to him?" I asked with a straight face trying to intimidate her which I guess is effective cause she step back and gulp for moment.
"Ah nothing, I mean it's about your father's business you know I'll be asking him if he might take over for awhile hehe." she said feeling nervous.
"I'll be the one who will take over Dad's business, I'll be there to his office tomorrow you can go now. Just send me his appointments for tomorrow." I said which made her nod and bid goodbye to me before leaving.
"Bitch." I whispered before flipping my hair and sat down again.
Minutes later the nurse said that I could now enter the ICU. I just sat beside Dad's bedside and watched him sleeping calmly. I noticed now how his skin was slowly aging a sign that he's getting older. He was also getting thinner. I sighed and held his hands, praying that he'd recover soon.
I stayed there for an hour, I only went out the room when the nurse entered and told me that my brother was outside waiting.
I just nod at her before grabing my things and kissed dad's forehead then leave the room.
When I step out the room I was taken a back when I saw a familiar woman not too far from me talking to my brother and my sister in law.
When they glanced at me I saw how her lips curved into a mischievous smile which made my brows arch and smirk a little.
"Oh look who's here the b***h finally showed up!" she exclaimed and stared at me from head to foot, I just rolled my eyes and walk past her.
"Sorry I don't know you. Who is this again brother?" I ask glancing at my brother who just laugh along with Kate.
"Arte mo talagang gaga ka! Hindi kana nag bago. " she said and push me towards my brother, but wasn't that forceful. I just make face to her and faced my brother when he was about to ask something.
"I heard that you told Marissa that you'll take over Dad's business. Are you really sure with that? You also have your own business in Italy right?"
"It's alright, Mila will handle mine." I answered. His voice looks worried, I guess he doesn't want me to give up my business.
"Uhm do you have any idea about dad's work?" he asked which made me stunned. Actually I don't, I've been a biatch before I bear Clinton and all I know was fashion and party.
I don't really like running a huge businesses like resorts and , and since my dad knows it he didn't let me take over this job.
"I guessed you don't, don't worry we'll find someone who'll teach you. As for now I'll let Marissa handle the meetings and other important matters. Take a rest first bago ka pumunta sa resort, you look stress." he answered which made me smile and nods at him.
Minutes later we were interrupted by dad's nurse saying that maybe dad will be transferred tomorrow to his ward since he was slowly getting better. My brother left for awhile to talk process dad's room leaving us three.
"Why is she here btw?" I whispered at Kate the reason why she glanced at Mia who's busy typing at her phone.
"Ahh haha sumama siya ng madulas si Xierra at nabanggit ang pangalan mo na pupunta ka rito sa ospital, sorryyy." she answered while scratching her forehead, I just sighed and pat her shoulders showing her that its alright.
"Hoy Caterina!" I startled when Mia called me, I then glared at her before raising my brows again. What's wrong with this girl? I don't want to talk to her, she's much more close to Owen than Kate she might tell him about my whereabouts.
"What do you want b***h?" I asked which made her smiled in a devilishly way
"You know what? I'm really really bored these past few days. I loved to play cupid sometimes yk." she answered before showing her phone calling a registered number named Ow—
"Oh?"
"What the f*ck Mia!"
