"Oh?"
A deep, manly and familiar voice talk from the other side of the line of Mia's phone.
"What the f*ck Mia!" I shouted which made her laugh.
"Sino yun?"
"Wala ahahaha bye!" Mia immediately answered before dropping the call still laughing. I just glared at her before turning my back, I really freaking hate her to death!
"Huy hala ka ininis mo, siraulo!" I heard Kate's voice while I was walking away, I could still hear Mia's irritating laugh from afar calling my name which I ignored.
I just followed my brother from where he is and tap him on his shoulder still frowning.
"Ayos ka lang ba? Why the long face?" he asked before giving the paper he was currently writing to the nurse.
"Don't ever bring that girl in here again, she's f*****g irritating." I said, walking past him without looking back as I saw Kate and Mia approaching.
"I'll be going home now, I'll be back tomorrow morning. Keep me updated, brother." I added before leaving. He called out to me, but I ignored him and continued walking until I reached the parking lot.
I ride on my car and drove it away from the hospital. I was about to go home but then I took a turn when I remember that I need to buy a simcard for my phone in the mall.
As usual I was stuck again in the middle of the road, urgh it's already 1 pm and yet there's still a traffic? This place is fck up.
I sighed in frustration before glancing at the buildings beside me, I was quite taken aback when I saw a familiar café not too far away from me.

Oh, it still exist, huh? I smiled, watching how colorful the café had become. I used to stay there in the mornings when I have hangover after partying on other nights.
And that's the place where we first met..
Tsk, our memories make that place a bittersweet spot to hang out now.
I just shooked my head, immediately started the engine when it turned off and the cars at the back were honking for me to move.
When I arrived at the mall, I immediately put on my shades to avoid being recognized by familiar faces.
After I already bought the thing I need, I was about to go home but then a shitty thing happened, I bumped into someone the reason why my glasses fall off the ground and it cracks.
My gahd my Dolce and Gabbana Sunglasses! Damn that was one of the most expensive things my dad bought for me last year.
"Oh my god I'm so so so sorry!" the woman exclaimed before picking up my shades on the ground, she looks worried when she saw a crack on it before looking at me.
I sighed before grabbing it from her, I want to shout at her face for wrecking it but I don't want to make a scene so I just glared at her before wiping it and walked past her.
"Sorry po, sorry! Papalitan ko nalang po iyan, magkano ho ba yan ng mabayaran ko?"
I was two step away when she said that, I stopped before facing her. I looked at her from head to foot before shooking my head.
She was wearing a familiar uniform of a hotel crew, so I doubt she can afford it. Like halerrr my shades costs 3 freaking million, and a concierge obviously cannot afford this!
"You can't afford it just by your salary dear, just keep your money." I coldly answer before turning back on her.
"No, kaya ko pong bayaran yan! How much po ba?" she insists and still keeps following me. What the heck is wrong with her? I ignored her and keeps on walking until I reached my car.
"Kakasweldo ko lang po naman, may ipon din ako mababayaran ko po iyan!" she said while pulling out her wallet on her bag.
"Eto po may 5k ako dito! Downpayment ho." I opened the car door and before I went inside I faced her before answering her shitty words.
"This costs millions darling, your money can't even reached half of it so keep it to yourself while I'm being nice okay? Don't make me mad, I might sent you to jail." I answered her which made her stunned and step back when I drive away from her.
I went home, and when I arrived ate Nena was already serving a food on the table.
"Oh iha saktong sakto lang pagdating mo, kakatapos ko lang magluto." she said which made me smile and sat down on the chair.
"Eat with me ate, it's kinda lonely eating alone." I said to her which made her smile and sat down.
"Aba'y syempre naman, namiss kitang bata ka e. Parang noon lang ang maldita maldita mo sakin, ayaw mo pa ako kasamang kumain tapos ngayon naku² laki na talaga ng pinag bago mo ahaha." she said which made me laugh, I made an effort to treat her kindly when she seemed worried about my pregnancy. Her care and concern reminded me of my mother.
My mother died 6 yrs ago, it was a month after kuya Zion and Kate's wedding.
It's kinda sad that she didn't even saw Clinton, I remembered what she always said that I should choose a great guy who'll be with me thru my entire life and yet I didn't listen.
I even bear a child to the guy who I thought I'll be spending my life with, but still I didn't regret it tho. I'm very thankful Clinton comes into my life.
After we eat I told her to teach me some tagalog words again cause I forgot on how to pronounce it and some words are really hard to understand.
I've always relied on Owen to help me out in studying their language since I didn't really click with Ate Nena. My brother's always swamped with work, and let's be real, I'm not exactly the most disciplined when it comes to studying on my own.
So yeah here's the result of my dumbness.
I need to know how to speak tagalog so that I can properly learn how to run dad's business.
It took me 4hrs to study and we finished at 7pm.
Yeah I learned alot words like puta— just kidding.
After I eat for supper I immediately call ate Nena cause I dont know how to register my phone number.
"Ate Nena, bumili ako ng simcard awhile ago how to register this?" see? I learn some words already haha. But the problem is my accent needs to be improved.
"Ilagay mo lang sa bedside table mo iha, iregister ko yan mamaya pagkatapos ko rito." she said which I responded with a nod and went to my room. I just left it at the table before I called Clinton and then after that I went to sleep.
3 days have passed. For the past three days, my routine has been the same: visiting Dad and then heading home immediately after just so I can update with Clinton since he already misses me often.
My brother told me to start work once Dad was transferred to his ward.
The next day, I got ready for work immediately and visited Dad first at the hospital. He was still unconscious, but his vitals were improving. Since they're transferring him to his ward now, I'll head to work after visiting him.
After checking on Dad, Zion told me he was heading to the resort to guide me on what to do. He said I should be hurry coz he still has some appointments to attend.
So, I headed there right away leaving dad with his care taker we recently hired.
When I arrived at the resort I immediately enter the place and looked around.
The place is much more fancier than before huh, I usually stayed here a long time ago. But since I'm too clingy with my brother I followed him to Klayde's hotel instead of staying here.
"Excuse me ma'am, I'm afraid you don't have access to that area. It's restricted to management personnel only." an employee approaches me when I was about to enter to the managements office.
I faced her with a straight face and pierced her with a sharp look when I saw who it was. She was also shocked to see me.
It was the girl I bumped with at the mall the other day.
"Ay hala ma'am ikaw pala iyan! Pinuntahan mo na ho ba ako para maningil?" she ask which made me confused, what the heck is she saying?
I didn't answer her and was about to enter to the door again but she stopped me again by holding my arms.
"Bawal po jan mam huhuhu—" she said with a worried look and look around. I removed her hands from me and glared at her.
"If I end up late because of you, I'll really fire you from your job right now." her eyes widen and take a step back before bowing her head and glance at me, I just gave her a disdainful look before turning my back.
I don't know but I really feel irritated from her, she gets on my nerves.
When I reached at dad's office I was about to enter but then I heard three familiar voices from the inside talking like they are arguing or something.
"She won't f*****g like this."
"Wala tayong magagawa."
"Meron! If he'll damn leave he—"
I entered the room and was confused to see another guys in there along with my brother. They all got silent when they saw me and the other guy stood up before smiling at me.
The other one was still sitting and freak he looks familiar, very f*****g familiar.
"Hi, miss Caterina right? I'm Almer by the way." the guy who stood up introduced his self and extend his hands for a handshake. I just nod and touched his fingertips before letting it go.
He just laughed at what I did before glancing at my brother who's staring at me looking troubled.
I raised a brows at him asking him what's happening here.
I was taken a back when I saw the guy who's sitting down awhile ago slowly stood up and turn to face me.
Aside from his body his face still haven't changed, he gotten more taller and more manly.
He used to be skinny but now he has bulging muscles and all, I bet he does that to impress his girls huh?
My brows furrowed when our eyes met, I'm disgusted seeing him here. I hate him.
"Almer will explain to you everything, I'll be leaving." my brother looks mad as he say those words before leaving. I guess he doesn't also like him being around just like how I hated him being here.
The nerve of this guy to show up after what happened long years ago?
"What the heck is he doing here?" I'm pissed.
"Look, Miss Caterina, your father had a succession plan for situations like this. The last thing he said was that if either you or your brother takes over the company, Owen Tiu will be your emergency contact to teach you how to run the business." he explained which made me laugh.
"Is this a joke? or are you making things up? My father will never do that knowing that it was him who.." I stopped midway when I realized I'm bringing something up.
"I meant that we had not so great past so I'm pretty sure dad won't freaking do that." I continued which made Almer glanced at Owen who was still staring at me and just listening to us.
"I'm just following legal orders, I'll leave you two to settle this matter. It's up to you two if what you'll do in running this business anyways." he said and leaving us two in the room. He didn't even get me a chance to talk, that shithead.
I faced Owen and glared at him.
He was just staring at me which made me uncomfortable. If only I have knife with me I would've pierce it right to his eyes.
"Leave." I coldly said to him with an authority in my voice. He didn't move when I said it to him, so I repeat my words.
"I don't want you to be my mentor, I'm pretty sure Marissa knows everything about this, I'll just call for her help and you can leave now. Why are you even here any—"
"What if I don't?" my brow raised when he cut me off with that question, what the heck does he mean?
He started walking towards me which made me step back and pierce him with a sharp look again.
"Then I'll forced you to." I answered confidently which made him smirk.
The moment he stood before me, I caught a whiff of his familiar scent—one that I used to loved.
I don't know but the moment his face got closer it feels like my foot was glued on the ground and neither of my hands can't freaking move!
I was about to close my eyes but then his face went straight to the side of my ear, and he whispered.
"Forced me then... babe."
