Chapter Thirteen

"Edrei?"  "Edrei!"  "EDREI!"  I gasped for air as I opened my eyes only to come face to face with a dark room. I sighed heavily while holding my hand to my chest to try to calm myself down.  It was all a dream.  "Are you okay?" I heard someone ask in a husky voice. I turned around to see Noah sitting up in the bed next to me.  "When did you start sleeping here?" I mumbled.  "Tonight." He answered, "You were sleeping when I came in."  "Oh."  "Are you okay?"  "I'm fine!"  "You seem a little afraid."  It isn't me being afraid but more of me being confused and concerned.  "It was just a bad dream, I'm okay. I think you should go back to sleep. I'm sorry for waking you."  Noah wrapped his arm around my shoulder before pulling me back until I was laying in his arms, "I'm allowing Tim to take you out tomorrow and Elizabeth will be going with you as well. You need to go out and get fresh air."  "I like being inside."  Noah chuckled, "I know but you need to go out more. You've been locked away in this palace since you got here!" He was right.  The last time I had been outside of the palace was to my wedding, I returned after we became husband and wife so I haven't been out since.  "I guess you're right." I replied, "Thank you."  "Let's go back to sleep."  The second time I woke up was completely different. It was daylight and the bed was empty. I sat up and yawned before the door was opened and Tim walked in.  "Ororo!" He exclaimed, "Get dressed! I'm ready to get you out here!"  After taking a shower and getting dressed, I was officially standing on the outside of the palace with Tim and Elizabeth by my side. I hadn't noticed before but there was a long walkway and a huge gate that blocked any access to the castle.  "We only open this gate on special occasions." Tim stated as I nodded, "Behind this gate you'll see all types of things from humans to wolves to vampires. Stay nearby at all times."  The gate opened and my eyes widened at all of the people standing around. They were either chatting with their loved ones, eating, or shopping.  "Gideon is a country but you are living in the capital. This is the most overpopulated area," I heard Tim say as he rolled his eyes.   I chuckled. As we continued to walk, people would turn their attention to me and bow their heads as I would toss them a soft smile. Tim stopped in front of a door before pulling it open, Elizabeth and I walked inside as he followed behind us.  "Shop around a bit," Tim whispered, "I'll be standing right here,"  I nodded my head before walking away with Elizabeth at my side. I looked around the clothing store in amusement. I didn't need anymore clothes. My closet was filled with them already. I turned towards Elizabeth before nudging her.  "We are shopping for you today!" Elizabeth's eyes widened, "Absolutely not! This is an expensive store! I cannot afford any of this!"  "Noah gave me his credit card! I have enough clothes but you don't therefore grab whatever you like,"  Elizabeth opened her mouth to speak but I held my hand up which cut her off. She sighed before nodding and walking elsewhere. I chuckled to myself before looking around.  Gideon looked like America except more diverse. America was already diverse but we didn't have vampires and wolves walking around the streets either. Each of the shops were on both sides of the road while the crowd of people walked on the sidewalk and in the middle of the street. I noticed there were no cars so I would have to ask about that later. Further down I could see restaurants that all appeared to look expensive until I noticed one of the restaurants was actually a McDonald's.  Only in Gideon would you see a classy McDonald's.  Elizabeth has finally finished shopping after twenty minutes. Tim smiles at us from the door as I pulled out Noah's card while the cashier continued to ring up Elizabeth's clothes.  "I hope neither of you are wasting my time and can actually afford this!" The lady said as she continued to ring the clothes up.  "Why wouldn't we be able to afford it?" Elizabeth asked obviously offended "How about you mind your business and just tell us the price?" I said while placing the card on the counter and sliding it towards her.   She looked down at the card then her eyes widened. She stared back at me then back at the card before swiping the card.  "My apologizes, your highness!" She said while bowing her head slightly. I snatched the card away from her as Elizabeth picked up her bags.  "Don't judge a book by it's cover!" I mumbled before turning towards Tim as he stood patiently with the door open.  "Finally!" Noah exclaimed as he jumped up from the bed. I rolled my eyes while walking to the closet to kick my shoes off.  "Have you been in here all day?" I asked.  "I did a few paperwork earlier but I returned here after I finished! I have sat here and waited for you to return but it took you forever. I was worried sick and I was bored! I sat here and watched those people on television as they reported on us! Remind me to never let you leave again,"  "Don't be so dramatic! I was only gone for two hours!"  "I didn't want you gone for 10 minutes!"  I walked out of the closet only to see Noah standing at the end of the bed with his arms crossed. He wore a pair of grey sweatpants with no shirt.  "Don't be such a baby, I'm here!"  Noah grabbed me by my wrists before dragging me onto the bed with him. He laid on top of me as I groaned loudly.  "Stop putting all your weight on me! You're heavy!" I yelled.  "Apologize for taking so long," He demanded. "For what?" I screamed. Noah put more weight onto me as I groaned loudly again, "Okay! I am sorry for going out and having a little bit of fun while your ass sat here impatiently like a f*****g crybaby!"  Noah rolled off of me before giving me a dirty look, "What kind of Queen are you?"  I chuckled before rolling my eyes and standing up, "I'm going to go shower so I can get back in bed so if you'll excuse me sir,"  "We are leaving for America in three days," Noah revealed which caused me to stop in my tracks.  "Why?" "We have an event coming up there plus I think it's time that you visit your family and the people," Noah replied.
