Chapter Fourteen

"Welcome home!" I heard someone scream. I kept my head down and avoided all of the flashing lights from the cameras. Adjusting my crown, I threw out a little wave to the enormous crowd that stood behind the police officers as they excitedly waved back at me in hopes of catching attention from Noah and I. I quickly made my way to the man dressed in business attire as he stood at the back door with it open waiting for me to get in. I smiled softly at him before climbing in the black Escalade. As he closed the door shut, the door next to me opened and Noah entered.  "What a nice welcome from the Americans," He said while slamming the door shut. Noah wore his huge crown with a navy blue suit and a red tie. If you stared at him for a good amount of time, you'd feel the urge to stand up, place your hand on your chest, and sing the national Anthem.  "They had no choice but to be nice since you came here dressed like the damn American flag," I mumbled.  Noah growled, "I wish you'd be more like them and be nice for once in your pathetic life,"  "If you don't like it then we could always divorce," I started, "You didn't have to marry me in the first place!"  "We're mates,"  "And?"  "In my culture, mates are to be one! Therefore, I had no choice but to marry you and claim you as mine! Divorces are forbidden!" He answered.  "I usually respect different cultures," I started.  "Really? How nice," Noah mumbled as he scoffed and stared out the window obviously uninterested.  "However, yours is the first that I give no f***s about," I finished.  He laughed, "You come from a country where your last president was a f*****g fruit — an orange to be exact — I think you should sit there and shut the f**k up,"  "Donald Trump wasn't my President!"  "Tell that to the thousands who voted for him,"  "Why are you bringing up Presidents? They don't exist anymore. After Trump, The Royal Family was brought in and my Father began to rule!" I stated.  "I didn't ask for a history lesson on your shitty, in debt, dumbass country!" He shot.  "I didn't ask to become the wife of a shitty, dumb asshole but yet here we are!" I shot back.  "Your Majesty?" The driver spoke.  "What?" We answered angrily.  "I know it isn't my business-"  "We are on the same page!" Noah growled, "I suggest your drive this car and mind your damn business!"  "Don't speak to him like that!" I exclaimed.  "I'll speak to whoever I want like that including you," Noah yelled.  "And yet you wonder why you're alone,"  Noah opened his mouth to say something before closing it again. He clenched his jaw before turning his head towards the window. I smirked in satisfaction before turning my head the opposite way. We drove in silence the rest of the way.  Arriving at the hotel was a bit hectic. Noah refuses to stay at the Palace and booked the entire floor for the week we'd be here. There was a huge crowd outside of the hotel and they were obviously excited to meet the both of us. Noah cleared his throat and turned to me.  "We will not greet anyone so get out there car and keep it moving," He demanded.  "I don't need you to tell me what to do,"  "Ororo, I've had enough of your mouth!"He started.  "Great!" I exclaimed before opening the car door. I stepped out as the crowd went wild and began cheering and waving. I smiled softly while I made my way towards them and shook their hands. I smirked to myself as Noah walked passed me. He shot me a glare before putting a soft smile on his face and greeting the crowd. This went on for ten minutes before I decided to step into the huge hotel. Noah appeared in front of me and began walking passed the front desk and straight to the elevator.  "Shouldn't we check in?" I asked.  "No,"  We stepped into the elevator and waiting patiently for it to stop. I glanced over at the elevator that he had pressed the top button which meant we were staying in one of the penthouse suites. The doors to the elevator slowly opened and we were greeted by a long hallway. I turned my head to see one door at the end of the hallway. Noah put his key in the slot then pushed the door open. Gasping, I looked around the huge room or should I say apartment.  It was beautiful. There was a kitchen and a living room with a huge glass door that showcased the outside pool. Noah cleared his throat snapping me out of my thoughts. My smile turned upside down and I turned faced him.  "What?" I asked.  "There's a room down that hallway and it is where you will be sleeping," He explained, "I chose the room further away from me because I cannot stand being in the presence of a disrespectful brat who is not fit for a Queen!"  "Have you ever thought that maybe I don't want to be your Queen?" I shot back before making my way down the hall and into my assigned room.   I was woken up by a soft angelic voice. I opened my eyes to see a woman with long wavy brunette hair standing in front of me. She smiled softly as my eyes focused on her, "The King demands your presence for breaking, your highness!"  "The King can kiss my ass," I shot back. Her eyes widened as she took in what I just said.  "I'm sorry but I cannot possibly tell him that, your highness!" She stated. I rolled my eyes before throwing the covers back. I marched over to the door before slamming it open and peeking my head out.  "Kiss my ass!" I yelled.  "Get your ass in the kitchen!" Noah shot back. I groaned before turning back faced the girl who stood near the bed with wide eyes in shock.   "Thank you for your time! I will get dressed now!" I stated. She nodded quickly before bowing then running out of the room. I closed the door and hit the shower.  I took my time on purpose just to get under Noah's skin. I placed my hair in a huge bun before laying down my baby hairs. I grabbed a black dress out of the closet before placing on the white house shoes that laid near the closet door. I stepped out to be greeted by the smell of bacon and eggs. I walked into the kitchen and pulled the chair out.  "You could've ate without me," I mumbled.  "I did," Noah said with a smirk.  I glanced at his plate to see that it was indeed empty, "Then out of my presence you go!"  I began grabbing food and placing it on my plate. I could see the staff standing in the kitchen staring at us awkwardly. Noah pinched the bridge of his nose before replying, "I don't know how I am going to do this! For f***s sake, you are an embarrassment! You do not do what I tell you to do! You are disobedient and a pain in my ass which makes you unfit for a Queen!"  "Is that what you want me to do? You want me to wait on you hand and foot? Do everything you tell me to do? Use your voice and not have a voice of my own?" I asked, "I don't follow your path but I created my own! I was a Queen before I met you or did you forget that too?"  "You aren't the Queen of your country but the Queen of mines! You show me no respect when I demand it! I'm sticking to my word and that is you are not fit to be a Queen!" He yelled.  I slammed the fork onto the table before standing up. I had my fist balled up and I was ready to pounce but I didn't. I shook my head and stared at Noah in disgust, "Let's settle this then!"  "How do you explain we do that?" Noah asked. I smirked before speaking, "I, Ororo Carter, reject you King Noah as my mate!"
