The marriage was never happy, even Shavonne's smile could no longer save their marriage. Divorce Papers
Shavonne put a file on the table quietly. The woman looked haggard and thin, her lips pale. Benjamin raised an eyebrow, reaching for the file. "What is this?" "Let's get a divorce, Benjamin. This marriage is meaningless." Shavonne dared to answer. The woman smiled reluctantly. "You even feel disgusted with me, right? So there's no point in us staying married. It might make you even more disgusted with me." "What can a b***h like you do after divorcing me? Selling yourself?" Benjamin frowned in annoyance. "Don't talk nonsense!" "I'm not talking nonsense!" Shavonne snorted loudly. The woman clenched her fists in anger. "I, I, I want a divorce, please just sign the document. Isn't my existence like a pebble that stumbles you?" Benjamin closed his eyes, veins began to appear on the man's temples. He then slammed the document given by Shavonne roughly. "Damn it, what's missing? Haven't I given you a lot of money? Isn't the money I've given you enough? Why are you so greedy?" "No!" Shavonne wiped her face roughly. The woman stared at her husband with a sad look. "Our marriage was just forced. Your family doesn't accept me. Even your ex-wife will get back with you, right?" "Is it just because of that? Why are you overdoing it? Don't be ridiculous, I won't sign these divorce papers." Benjamin snorted loudly, his scary face was enough to describe how annoyed the man was right now. "Go away, don't bother me, I'm busy right now." Shavonne was still staring at Benjamin with a sad face. "At first I always tried to stay with you, I only wanted to get married once in my life. But Ben, did you know I had a miscarriage last week?" "What?" Benjamin turned his head, his forehead wrinkled again. "You cheated on me?" Shavonne's movements stopped, she looked at Benjamin with a look of disbelief and hurt. "Why do you ask that?" "I never touched you during our marriage. So how could you be pregnant unless you cheated on me with another man?" Benjamin's voice rose several octaves. The man glared, angrily slapping his wife's face. "You shameless country girl! I've given you so much and this is what you give me? Cheating?" Shavonne sobbed, she held her burning cheek. The woman stared at her husband, among all the wounds that had occurred so far, now was the peak of pain felt by Shavonne. "You r***d me when you was drunk. I got pregnant because of that and miscarried because your mother beat me after breaking some plates." Shavonne chuckled as if she had just realized one thing. "Benjamin, it seems like no matter how much I try, neither you nor your family will be able to accept me. Enough of the pain. I give up Benjamin, please divorce me." "Nonsense! I never touched you when I was drunk! I'm even so disgusted by your face how could I do such a pathetic thing?" Benjamin hit his desk angrily. The man glared at Shavonne. "Don't act like a victim when your child and your lover died in my mother's hands. The baby deserved to die." Shavonne's cries grew louder but the woman didn't dare to make a sound. "Do I have to kneel to you so that you will divorce me? Or do I have to die so that I can be free from all this?" Benjamin glared even more angrily, he moved, slapping his wife hard again. "You! You shameless b***h! You've cheated and now you're acting like a victim?" Shavonne did not answer, with a trembling body the woman slowly lowered her head, knelt down, and kissed Benjamin's black shoes. "Forgive me, please divorce me. I don't care what you think but I beg you to divorce me. I can't stand it anymore. Forgive me." Benjamin glared even more angrily, he moved, stepping on Shavonne's fingers with his feet. The woman winced but did not comment much letting her husband tear the skin on her fingers until they were injured. "b***h! b***h! b***h! How dare you act insolently." "Yes, yes, I am a b***h. So please divorce me. Please let me be free." Shavonne was still kneeling, kissing Benjamin's shoes desperately. "Please, divorce me Benjamin. Please give me freedom. I beg you." Benjamin clicked his tongue, he moved one of his feet, kicking Shavonne until the woman was thrown and hit the wall of the room with her back. "Don't expect you to get away from me that easily." Shavonne coughed, her back hurt terribly. Her whole body ached and she had difficulty moving at this time. Benjamin snorted again, he called his secretary. "Take that woman away. Seeing her here only makes me sick. Make sure that she returns to the Lawrence mansion." "Understood, sir." *** Shavonne walked weakly into the Lawrence mansion. Her whole body was shaking, the unbearable pain continued to spread, eating away at her body little by little. She even had to lean on the wall to walk properly back to her room on the second floor. But before the woman really reached the stairs, Mrs. Lawrence's voice was heard. "Where have you been?" "I just went to take care of some things, mother," Shavonne answered weakly. "Can I go? I'm very tired now." Mrs. Lawrence frowned, the middle-aged woman immediately approached, pushing her daughter-in-law until she fell. "Did you just meet your paramour?" "What?" The woman was stunned. "I never had a paramour, mother. It was just a misunderstanding. I have never had a relationship with a man other than Benjamin." "You're just a cheating woman who sells your body. Do you really want to be a w***e?" Mrs. Lawrence scolded loudly, her voice even echoing throughout the room. "Luckily I only killed your child, not you too." Shavonne was stunned again, staring at her mother-in-law in shock. "Mother, have you ever regretted making me miscarry?" "That is the appropriate punishment for someone who cheats on her husband," Mrs. Lawrence replied angrily. "That is just the punishment you deserve, a shameless whore." Shavonne laughed, feelings of sadness and heartache continued to spread through her body. "Then, kill me." "What? Are you crazy?" Shavonne was still laughing but her eyes never stopped flowing tears. She grabbed Mrs. Lawrence's hand to direct it to her own neck. "Strangle me mother, kill me! Please! Isn't this what you've always wanted? You want me dead, right? Okay! Kill me now!" Shavonne screamed, she was completely like a different person than before.
