CHAPTER XXVII - DREAM

My heart pounded when I woke up. My body was trembling with fear. It looked so real but why did I dream about it again?
I went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water. It was dark here that made me remember that dream. I felt like someone was watching me. I finished drinking the water quickly and I rushed to the bedroom. I flinched when I saw a shadow from the window. I was stopping myself from trembling but I could not. I was soaked with sweat and I closed my eyes. I started to cry but it could not help me.
“What’s happening?” he asked and he clicked the switch button. The light filled the bedroom.
“I – I ….” I could not speak due to trembling.
“Tell me what happened.” he sounded like worried while he sat beside me. He patted my head twice and I gave him a hug.
“It was only me who stood near the window. Don’t be scared.” he said worriedly. “It was a bad dream.” He caressed my hair and I fell asleep.
I saw him sleeping beside me. His right arm was my pillow and his lips were slightly opened. His left hand was on my right hip. I kissed his forehead and made a nose to nose to him.
“Thank you,” I whispered. Then, I kissed his lips. I turned my back ay him and sat.
“Did you do it?” he asked with a smile. His face was near an inch with my face. He was looking at my eyes directly that made me shiver.
“What are you talking about?” I asked and laughed a little.
He kissed me on my left cheek and he went up. I smiled secretly and I took a bath.
I should do my plan today.
I went to a nearby dress boutique and I chose the clothes, shoes and heels I wanted to wear. I paid the things to the cashier and I smiled walking to the mall.
I went to the restroom and I removed the specialized make up on my face, arms and feet. I put on the orange sleeveless top with a white flowy skirt then, I put a red belt on my waist. I put on the white heels on my feet. I used my new white sling bag.
“You look great!” I said to myself in a mirror.
I know that Kai would be meeting his friends here at the mall. So, I rummaged the whole mall and at the same time, I looked some things that I liked to buy.
I was walking near the fast food chain when I was accidentally bumped to a man. My milktea was spilled to his white shirt and I said, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to spill it.”
I searched for my handkerchief and I wiped the spilled milktea on his shirt. He stopped me from wiping it and he said, “Stop it.”
I remembered his voice and when I looked at him, “You..”
“Who are you?” he asked me while looking at me.
“I’m Avy.” I answered with trembling voice. “I – I’m sorry. Let me buy you a new one.” I grasped his hand and we went to a nearby dress shop.
I chose a white shirt with a printed line, “Lucky!”.
I smiled and paid it to the counter. I gave it to him and I pushed him to the dressing room. When he came out, he looked great.
I was happily clapping my hands and I smiled at him. “I’m sorry to what I’ve caused to your shirt. Let me wash it for you.”
“Give me your number,” he asked about my number. I blinked my eyes thrice. He was asking for my number? Shocks!
“For what?” I asked him with a questioning look.
“You said that you’ll wash it for me. How could I get it back if I don’t have my contact to you?” He sounded like annoyed man.
“O – okay.” I gave him my second number. I wish I did not go here and revealed my true identity. What if he kept on calling or texting me? What should I do?
“Okay, bye!” I said with a smile and turned my back at him. He pulled my shoulder that made me faced him in an inch.
“What’s wrong with you?” I asked and pushed him.
“You really looked like her.” He whispered.
“What are you talking about? You just mistook me to another person.” I stepped back at him but he grabbed my waist because there was a running man chased by security.
My trembling hands were on his chest and good thing that he held me before my knees collapsed due to jittering.
“T – thank you.” I was shyly looked away from him when I saw him blushing.
“They looked like a good couple.” I heard from a girl near to us.
“Yes, they looked handsome and beautiful.” The other girl agreed.
“Okay, I need to go back at home.” I said with a smile and I walked away to him.
I wonder why he looked at me like that. He seemed to be thinking of a person looked like me. Who was it? I need to know.
I went to the T’shop Café and waited for Haji. I was looking around when he arrived. He looked shocked when he saw my look.
“Is that you?” he asked with a wide smile.
“Yes.” I answered. He sat opposite to me and our foods and drinks were placed in front of us. “Thank you.”
The waitress smiled and walked away from us. He was smiling playfully when I looked at him.
“Tell me, what happened?” he asked with a wide smile.
“I just want to know if he was attracted to me when he accidentally saw me in our house with my true color. I lied to him that I was the best friend of Sae.” I began.
He smirked and asked, “Then, why were you with him awhile ago?” I gasped.
“You saw us?” I asked while he was smiling like an i***t.
“Yes. He looked cool when he grabbed your waist just to save you –“ I cut his words.
“Stop it. I don’t want to hear it. I wonder how he looked blushing at that time.” My eyes went small to what I was seeing. He looked at what I was seeing and he laughed.
“Don’t go near us.” I whispered.
“I think it would never happen,” he whispered. The door behind me was opened and I heard the noise of his two friends. I covered my hair to my face and I gave a signal to Haji that we should go out.
“What?” he asked. I closed my eyes with disbelief.
“Haji.” I heard Kai’s voice calling his name. I’m dead! “Who’s with you?” He added.
“It’s me.” I smiled wryly at him. “Avy.” he nodded.
“You know each other?” Haji asked. Yes, it was a good act, Haji.
“Yes, awhile ago,” Kai answered.
“We were just having our date here.” I said with a forced smile. Haji looked at me with annoying look. He pushed my foot that made me hurt.
“Ouch!” I exclaimed softly. Kai rushed to see my foot.
“Where are you hurt?” he asked me while looking at my feet.
“No, it’s okay.” I smiled wryly and rolled my eyes to Haji. He smiled at me teasingly.
Kai stood up and said that he have to go with his friends. We waved at him and I did not watch him walking away. Haji laughed a little that made me irritated.
“Why did you do it?” I asked annoyingly.
“I just wanted to know how he looked worried to you. I made it fair with you. You said that we were dating. Have you seen how he jealous he was?” He laughed a little and I tapped his shoulder.
“Ssshh. Don’t be too noisy. He might hear you,” I whispered. “Let’s get out.”
We were walking to the Downtown and it made me looked exhausted. He was still laughing at me and I covered his mouth.
“Laugh and you’ll be dead.” I smiled at him and stomped at his foot.
“Aw – ouch!” he exclaimed. “Why did you do it?”
“We’re fair.” I turned my back at him and I walked away.
“Let’s have a ride today,” he said happily and I remembered the shirt of Kai.
“No. Let’s go to the laundry shop first,” I said seriously. We headed to the laundry shop and he looked at me with a puzzled look.
“I was accidentally spilled my milktea to his shirt when I was walking alone.” I started to drink the water while waiting for the cashier.
“So, you bumped at him accidentally? I think it was too cute.” He smiled like an i***t and I tapped his arm.
“It was not cute.” I hissed.
“It’s you. It’s really you when you’re with the white skin,” he said while laughing.
“Why, is there something wrong?”
“Hmm.. When you’re Sae, you looked weak and when you looked like this, you’re strong. That makes you different,” he seriously said while staring at a corner.
“May be.”
We went to look for an apartment just in case Kai would look for me as Avy. We prepared my things as a poor little girl. I need to do this for my own good.
“What if he discovers the truth?” He cut my thoughts. His question made me sweat.
“He should never discover the truth.” I said while fixing my things to the cabinet.
“Is this another lie at him?” He rephrased his question that made my heart to pound.
“I know. I was scared to him knowing the truth.” My lips were twitched.
