I woke up with a heavy thing on top of me and I remembered him. I quickly opened my eyes and his eyes were opened too. We looked surprised and he hurried to get out of bed. I realized that he was wearing his untied robe and he covered his. I screamed and I closed my eyes. He felt embarrassed without uttering any word and he went to the bathroom. I laughed a little when I remembered his reddened face looking shyly at me. “What are you laughing at?” he asked while we were eating our breakfast. “Nothing,” I answered while stopping myself from laughing but I could not help it. I laughed so hard and he was annoyed. “Just forget it.” He was really pissed. “I didn’t see anything.” I said while holding my stomach. “You covered it before I looked at you.” He blushed and he looked away. “Tell me, what happened last night?” he asked furiously. I did not answer him because of fear. “Just tell me.” “We just fell asleep.” I answered without looking at him. “Did so – something ha – happened b – betwe –?” I cut his words before he could finish what he was saying. May be, I should try to tease him. “Well, it was fun.” I teased him; looking at his eyes. His ears turned to red and I think he looked cute. “What fun?” his voice was a little bit scary. “Do you think something happened between us? What would you think if you were on top of me?” I asked him with a teasing smile. He did not look at me and I found it amusing. It was fun to tease him like this. He seemed to look like he was afraid that he did something wrong. “Are you afraid?” I added. He looked at me and he crossed his arm. He looked like playing safe and he was trying to stop himself from worrying. “Are you worried? What if something happened?” “I’ll take responsibility,” he courageously answered. What? He would take responsibility? “I can’t believe you. Whether we made it or not, I’ll not let my baby know about you.” I smirked and his eyes widened. “I’ll not let my baby with a father who doesn’t love the mother.” “Then, I will love you,” he said seriously. My mouth went open with disbelief and I chuckled. “Where do you find your words?” I asked curiously. “We’re getting married. Time flies so fast. You can’t tell whether a person likes you or not in the end.” He sighed. I wonder why he said that. I could not believe that he would say that without hesitation. Was he really serious or was he making fun of me again? He said that I should not fell in love with him, right? How could he break his own condition? Did he have feelings for me? I gasped for a moment. What if he was falling in love with me? What if still not? Neither I could not understand him nor myself. He gave me a paper bag of clothes and when I looked at it, it was a white dress. “What’s this for?” I wondered. “For you.” He smirked and I nodded. The problem was I had no specialized make up. I need to hide my true color. “I feel awkward if I wear this,” I said shyly. “Just dress yourself,” he said seriously. How could he do this to me? I really looked ugly for this white dress. I think I need to put off my eyeglasses. I felt the stares of people we meet downstairs. They were trying to prove that I looked ugly. “What are you looking at?” he asked to the two women looking at me. “Nothing,” they answered. “Mommy! She looked like a black lady in a white dre – “ the little boy’s words were cut by her mother. Was he trying to humiliate me in front of these people? It was not a good thing to know. I should not wear anything like this from now on. When we got home, I took a hot bath for relieving my stress. It was not I like him but I admitted that I cared for him. I know that this would be hard for me and I did not expect that we would be like this. My heart fluttered when he said that he would take responsibility and he would love me. It was nice to hear it from him. I wish that he told me such things with truthfulness. My thoughts were cut when someone knocked at the door. My heart pounded when I was panicking about my situation. I rushed to the door and when I opened it, I was a little surprised. It was Kai carrying a box. He stared at me with a questioning look. I forgot to use the specialized make up and I remembered that I have to buy a new set. “Who are you?” he asked me and I remembered that I have to go to the T’shop Café to get my specialized make up. “I’m Sae’s best friend.” I answered while I hid my hands trembling with nervousness. I wish he could not suspect me about my secret. “Where is she?” he added. “She said that she was going out to see her friend.” I answered. “Oh, I forgot. I have my meeting today with a friend too.” I waved at him to say good – bye. I got my purse first and I ran outside of the house and waited for a taxi. I sighed when I hopped in in the taxi. When I reached the T’shop Café, I went to a nearby boutique of dress. I bought a blue colored simple dress that made my skin color revealed. I know that Shanelle liked my taste of style. The door was opened and it was Shanelle who entered and she was waving at me with a smile. I smiled at her with a ladylike. “How are you?” she asked me while drinking her hot chocolate. “I’m fine, and you?” “I’m fine too. Thank you,” she answered and she cleared her throat. “I heard that you were engaged. Tell me who he is.” I felt irritated when she asked who my fiancé was. “You’ll meet him soon when we got married.” I answered with a smile and I saw her disappointed look. “It’s because I don’t want to spoil everybody.” “Okay.” She smiled at me and she said that she was going out to see her other customers. I think, I should look for another supplier of my specialized make up. I need a reliable seller that would not make me feel irritated. I went home with a changed look. I wore a white long sleeves and black pants. “Where did you go?” he asked me with a serious voice. “I went out to see my friend.” “Then, who was in this house a while ago?” he added. My brows met and I remembered my look when he saw me. “She’s my best friend.” I bit my lower lip and I saw him frowned. “What’s wrong? Did she do something wrong?” I acted like it was my really my best friend. “Nothing,” he said coldly. He went out of the house and I did not asked him where he would go. I waited for him until dinner and he was not at home yet. I was worried about him this late at night. I think that I should go and find him. I brought my purse with me and when I opened the door, it was Kai who looked like angry man at me. “What’s wrong?” I asked him but he did not answered me. He slammed the door shut that made me startled. What was wrong with him? He seemed to be angry and why? May be, he did not like someone who was sneaking in this house without his permission. But I think, it was me who made him feel like that. Also, I noticed how he looked at me. He could not take his eyes of me. I ate alone for dinner. He was on his bed when I finished everything. I did not sleep beside him because of fear that he would burst his anger. May be, he was curious about me. I think I should apologize to him and what would be my name? I know it! My name would be Avy, my old nickname when I was a kid. I woke up on a dark room with loud thunder and I was hearing the sound of heavy rain. I was scared that time and my whole body was trembling with coldness. My shirt was soaked with sweat. I heard a noise from somewhere. I closed my eyes and I was hugged by someone that I did not remember. I was startled and before I screamed, he covered my mouth. “It’s me,” he whispered. “I’m scared.” I sobbed. He caressed my back and hugged me again. “Don’t be scared because I’m here with you.” he said with a calm voice. I heard someone was knocking the door and he covered my mouth. “Ssshh. Don’t make some noise,” he whispered to my ear. “And we’ll be safe.” I saw a shadow from the door and everything went black.
