CHAPTER XVIII - SECOND DAY WITH MY OLDER BROTHER

1457 Words
“Until when are you going to stay here?” I asked him while we were eating. My eyes went small, looking at him. “After a week or should I say, after semester?” He laughed a little. I whipped his arm and I pinched his nose. “Tell me that you’re leaving tomorrow.” I was pissed. Please, brother, just leave. You were just making me nervous. Last night, they played wrestling again and I saw him hurting Kai. I could not believe that he was trying to prove something that I did not know or may be, they have their agreement again. “No, I’ll stay here.” He smiled playfully while he took a glance at Kai. I think that they were hiding something at me. What was he trying to do? May be, he was trying to push Kai at me? May be, Lolo Emman told him that Kai did not like me. What should I do? “Okay. If it’s your decision, so be it.” I smiled at him. “Let’s go to the beach!” he exclaimed happily and he added, “I want to have some picnic with you, guys. Let’s celebrate your marriage.” “We’re not married yet,” I whispered. You’re making me embarrassed, brother. No, this weekend would be like a trouble. My heart began to pound heavily as I was thinking about what would happen to us later. “I mean your future marriage.” He laughed a little and took a sip of his coffee. “Let’s invite Haji,” he said happily. What was he trying to do? What if Kai would be hot tempered to Haji again? “Okay, let’s invite him,” Kai seriously said. He looked calm even my older brother was making fun with us. “Really? I missed being with Haji, right, Sae?” he asked me and I nodded. “Did you know that they were childhood best friends?” He was smiling at Kai. “No,” Kai answered seriously. I felt a hot atmosphere around us and I think I should finish my breakfast. “Why didn’t you tell him about you and Haji?” my older brother asked me. “She just said that they were best friends but not as childhood best friends,” Kai answered instead of me. I looked at him and he was smiling slightly. “Yes, I told him that we were best friends.” I supported his statement. “Okay. Did you also know that they were lovers?” he asked frankly. What, lovers? I looked at Kai and his face turned to be furious. “No, we’re not lovers. You just misunderstood us, brother Seravy. Haji is like a brother to me,” I answered wryly. Could you please stop this? “It’s okay if they were lovers,” Kai said and he looked at my brother furiously. My brother smirked playfully and he looked amazed at him. “Even if they kissed?” he asked with a challenging look. Kai looked at me and I remembered our first kiss. He smirked and freed a small laugh. “I don’t care if they kissed or not. The important is, I’m her first kiss,” he confidently said and my older brother looked at me with disbelief. “Is that true?” he snorted. I felt nervous at his furious face. Should I tell him or not? “I was joking,” Kai seriously said. “You just made me think that she never been kissed by someone.” He smirked. I stomped at the foot of my brother and he held his breath, showing me that he was not hurt. I laughed at him. “It’s impossible to have me kissed by him.” I smiled. “What if I kiss her in front of you?” Kai asked my brother. What was he thinking? He was making my brother to challenge him more. “Let’s see if you can do it.” Seravy challenged him. This was what I was saying. I sighed with disbelief. Kai stood at his seat and came in front of me. He put his fingers to my chin to face him and he was slowly getting near to my face. “Stop it!” Brother Seravy exclaimed while he put his right hand to Kai’s mouth and he seemed to be irritated. Kai went backwards and wiped his mouth for three times. What was happening here? I think that there was something between these two. I should know it before it was too late. Kai sat on his seat and continued eating while my brother looked at him fiercely. “You should stop this. It’s not funny anymore.” I said annoyingly. My older brother looked at me and smirked. “So, you’re defending him?” he teased me. “By any chance, do you have feelings for him?” He added with a playful smile on his lips. I rolled my eyes at him. Did I have feelings for Kai? No, this was not right. I promised that I should not fall in love with him but my heart skipped a beat and it started to pound rapidly. “I was not defending him. I just don’t want what you’re doing. You’re scaring me.” I said seriously. He laughed a little and he tickled me to my side. “C’mon. Tell me.” He whispered and he leaned close to me. “There’s nothing wrong with liking someone.” Kai said seriously. “Do you think you should butt in every time she likes someone? It’s still her decision whether he likes someone or not. You can not force her.” He added with a smirk. This was the first time I heard him say anything like this and I felt that I was relieved. My older brother went calm and his mouth flew open. “Yes, I know. I was just teasing her.” “Tease her? How about you? Do you have any girlfriend or fiancee?” Kai asked. My older brother could not look at him directly. “Y-yes, of course. I have a girlfriend.” he answered shyly. I laughed heavily. “No, he doesn’t have any. He’s not interested.” I laughed a little and I saw how annoyed my brother’s face was. “Okay, fine. I don’t have any other girls except for Mama and Sae,” he confidently said. “Please, take care of her or else, I will be the one who will kill you.” He rolled his eyes at Kai and he looked away. I feared him doing things like this. He was overprotecting me about Kai. I know that Kai was a good person even if he did not like me at all. Haji went to our house early after we ate breakfast and my brother was happy to see him. They hugged each other like brothers. I listed the foods we should bring at the beach and I think that we would be enjoying this trip. “Wait. I’ve already packed our foods last night,” my older brother happily said. He put out a big basket full of foods and he pointed to a case of drinks. Kai drove us to the beach. “Haji, let’s enjoy this weekend and a holiday as a bonus,” my older brother said with a cheerful voice. He seemed to be like a child in his actions. “You looked like a kid at your age.” Haji laughed. My older brother gave us the potato chips and I started to eat. “You should fed him, Sae.” my older brother asked me to fed Kai. What? Fed him? This sounds crazy. I picked a piece of potato chip and put it in Kai’s mouth. I saw a click of camera behind us and I realized that it was my older brother who took us a picture. He was really naughty. He was making me pissed again. “Stop it, brother Seravy. I’m doing what you want. I don’t understand you.” I hissed. What was happening here? Tell me that this was a dream. I pinched my cheeks and it was real. I hate to be with my older brother. He was making me annoyed and nervous. “Let’s swim there,” he happily said. Yes, he was really happy today and it would make me sick if he continues being like this. “I didn’t bring any clothes.” I rolled my eyes. “I did.” He drummed his laps. “I brought clothes for us.” “What?” I asked surprisingly. I looked at him and he showed us four packs of bikinis. I blushed when I saw a pair of black bikinis. I closed my eyes and I stopped my heart from beating heavily. I wiped my sweats on my forehead and neck. I think this would not be fun anymore. I hoped that I did not allow his plan. Haji was silent when he saw the bikinis that my brother was holding. His face turned red and he pretended that he was sleeping. I should pretend too. I started to close my eyes and I did not realize that I fell asleep.
