I took Sam to the clinic. She has a fever because of her swollen tonsils. She fell asleep so I just left. We still have the last subject class. Is she still asleep until now? I will only wake her up later when her driver arrives to pick her up so she can rest. It's because it's cold to eat and drink in the past few days. Even without a voice, she still eats cold food, so maybe that is why her tonsils are swollen. I can't blame her, I also love eating.
I took my cellphone and brows in my social media. Without Sam is bored. My day was very quiet. I hope she recovers soon. I can feel the boredom of my life without her. I miss her presense.
Hour past. Our professor just discussed and dismissed early. I looked at the classroom, I frowned when I was totally alone. I leaned back in the chair and send a message to Sam.
'You're awake?' I stared at the screen of my phone while waiting. I gasped. She did not answer.
I got up. I took my things and walked out of the classroom. There are other classes in the other rooms I pass by. We were dismissed too early today. I feel like I'm cutting class.
With my mind and attention so busy, I collided with something. "Sorry" I said not looking at him. I took the things I dropped off the floor and looked at his feet. He has not left yet. For a few seconds he helped me pick it up. "Thank you" I said to him when I took the things he picked up.
I walked away from him to the clinic where Sam was. I did not look him in the eye or even see his face. I do not tend to look into the eyes of strangers and have no interest in getting to know him. Sam will be my first and last friend. We already last year in college so I don't need a friend anymore especially since we will change paths after graduation.
I greeted the nurse who was watching over the patients. She smiled at me. "Are you here for someone?" She asked me.
I rolled my eyes inside the facility. There are many patients today. "I'm here for Samantha"
"Yes, right. You were with her earlier" I nodded and smiled at her.
"How is she?" I looked at her seriously.
She sighed "She still has a fever but it went down. If she has not lost her fever in 24 hrs, she needs to be admitted to the hospital" I nodded "Did you know what's the cause"
"I think she is so upset into something. She ate cold food or drank cold but before that she lost her voice screaming when the two basketball teams had a game" she nodded at what I said. "Has she woken up before?" She shook her head at what I said.
"I woke her up when she was dreaming. I gave her medicine and after that she fell asleep again" did I heared it right? Sam was dreaming earlier.
"What dream?" I ask.
"She is calling for someone"
"Who?" I ask again. She trying to remember the name.
"Kevin" she said to me with a smile "she kept saying that" I thanked her and said goodbye. We talked for a long time, I almost forgot that I came here for Sam.
The school clinic is like a hospital. It only separate with curtines. It's a good thing the clinic doesn't close. They are open 24/7 for those who also board here. In case of emergency there are students who can go here anytime because student who are in dorms are not allowed to go out unless it is important or weekends.
At first glance I knew where Sam was. Not just because I brought her here so I know where. Besides, her socks are unique. She is the only one I know who wears it.
I tore the curtain a little and put my bag on the table next to her bag. I watched her, she was still sleeping. She looks like a princess waiting for her prince. Sam is beautiful. I sat down and took my cellphone out of my pocket. I saw Chadd calling me.
"Chadd" I opened up to him when I answered his call.
"Where are you?"
"At the clinic"
I heard a thud "Why? Are you alright? What happened?"
"Easy" I said to him while laughing "I'm here because of Sam. She has a fever. I'm watching her until her driver is not there to pick her up" I heard him sigh.
"Wait me there. I just finished my last subject, I just have to go through something and then I will go straight there" I nodded at what he said.
"Ok" I smiled even though I knew he could not see me. I dropped the call and looked at Sam's cp. I put my cp in my pocket and took her phone that was lying on the table.
I answered the call. I don't know if what I did was right but my hand moved spontaneously when I read the caller's name.
"Meet me at the rooftop. Now. Let's talk." I would have spoken when he already end the call. I frowned. I feel like I heard that voice somewhere. Is this deja vu?
I went to call history and called him again but it cant. I did that three times before I gave up. I just texted him. I'll just tell him about Sam.
'She can't go right now'
Should I send this? Am I doing it right? For the first place, I should not have answered the call and I should have just let him call so that he thinks Sam is busy or Sam is not available right now to meet up with him when no one asnwered him.
I gasped and let my mind decide. I think there is nothing wrong with what I do so I just decided to send but it error. I sigh when I read the notification saying that she doesnt have a load.
I took my cellphone and copied his number when I was suddenly stop and erased it again. I gasped. Chadd will be angry at what I do. He doesn't want anyone who knows my number.
Can I just go? I gasped. I looked at Sam. I remember what the nurse said earlier. I looked at the call history. He is important to Sam. Should I take the risk? Or not?
