Fake Friends and Mates

Chapter 3

Dominic POV

At lunch I keep staring over at a girl that I use to hang out with. Now I’m wondering why she has my attention today.

I’m sitting at the table with my future Beta Tristan Johnson. We have been friends since birth. And my future gamma Asher Simmions, also friends since birth.

We were all 18 but still haven’t found our mates yet so until then we were just having fun.

Everyone is excited about this damn party on Saturday for my father’s beta, Thomas’s daughter, Faith Terrell. The one I keep staring at currently. I notice my now girl for the moment catches me staring at her. She starts catching an attitude but I don’t care. 

Lunch is almost over so I get up to head towards my next class. I realize someone is about to bump into me. I could have avoided the conclusion but when I recognized who the person was I just let it happen. 

She starts stuttering her apologize out until she realizes it’s me who she is apologizing too.

She is about to walk away but before she does words start coming out my mouth before I could stop them, “watch where you are going.”

“Yes Alpha” is all she says but not the respectful way. I smirk because for some reason I like it.

Instead of going to my next class I decide to invade someone else class. I follow Faith down the hall after ditching my current headache. I watch her take a seat in the back I notice that there is a seat next to her open. 

Walking to the back of the class and take the seat right next to her. As soon as she looks up and see it’s me I can see the wheels turning in her head. 

She starts saying something to me but I really wasn’t planning any attention to what she was saying. I was more focus on her plump juicy lips. So, I only caught bits and pieces of what she was saying.

So, I decided to go with my normal reply, “I am an Alpha. I can do what I want.” Hoping that will shut her up which it does surprisingly.

I need to find some reason to start a conversation with her but I can't think of anything that won’t make me look stupid. So, I choose to ask about one of her friends.

“Pssh,” I keep tapping on her desk trying to get her attention. “Pssh”

“What the hell do you want? She says rudely to me. 

I was shocked at the fact she was cussing. She is always so nice and proper. 

“Is Jewels seeing anybody right now?”

I’m asking for one of my friends but I don’t tell her that. I just wanted to start a conversation. 

I believe she took my meaning of asking that question as for myself. I decided not to correct her right this minute.

“Yes she is single” is all she says before turning around and not speaking to me again. When the bell rings she jets out of the class so fast. 

I just chuckle to myself.

“You ran her away, my wolf whines. Which I am surprise because my wolf, King does not show up with other girls. He says he is waiting for his mate.

“Surprised you even appeared now.”

“Don’t worry I’m going away since you ran the girl away,” King comments before closing our link. 

I swear he can be such an asshole lately. 

I just shake my head headed to my locker where I find Emma leaning up against my locker.

“Why didn’t you come to class, babe?”

“I had something to take care of.” I reply but not really caring to reply. I am kind of tired of her. It was supposed to be something casual but she is getting really clingy. 

I am waiting on my mate to get into a serious relationship and she is definitely not my mate. 

“I got to go to class, see you later,” leaving her at my locker.

Last period went by slow. I received a note in the middle of class from Jewels. I didn’t think Faith would tell her so soon. In the note she gives me her cell phone number. I look over at her and smile before sticking the note in my back pocket.

I know exactly what I am going do with that number give it to my friend Tristan.

My phone vibrates. I grab it quickly not to disturb class. A message from my father, saying that my mom and him along with Faith’s parents have an emergency meeting and will be gone until tomorrow. A reminder to check on Faith while they are gone.

My mom loves Faith. She continues to say how great of a Luna she would be. It used to disgust me but lately I kind of like the idea. I honestly don’t know why. 

“My pleasure” I smile to myself.

*Ding*

The last bell for the day to end. I try to make it out of class to catch Faith before she leaves. 

“Dominic” I hear someone call me.

I look back and see that it’s Jewels.

“Yeah, what’s up”

“Are you going to text me?” She asks me. She looks like if I say no that she is going to cry so I nod my head in agreement.

We walk out the building together. I was in a hurray then I remember every evening they meet in the parking lot together so, she wouldn’t leave without seeing her friends. 

I relax and start talking to Jewels about the party on Saturday. I didn’t realize we had stopped walking. Then I see her car leaving the parking lot. 

Damnit……I cuss myself out in my head.

We walk up to Lexie and Jewels asks, “where is Faith?”

I’m glad she asked because I wanted to know also. “Her mother had messaged her and I don’t think she felt good either.” Lexie tells us.

I wonder whats wrong with her. I tell Lexie and Jewels goodbye and headed to my Audi A8 perks of being the Alpha’s son.
