Faith POV
Class doesn’t drag today it seem to go by quickier than any other day. Before I know it’s lunch time. I get to the lunch room and realize I am the last one to arrive so I quickly get my food and join my friends at our table.
“Ladies we have our sleepover tonight, and tomorrow is Jewels birthday. Are we still going to the mall tomorrow? Then Saturday the party that I’m sure everyone is waiting for.” I give the girls the run down of the next few days.
“Yes we can go to the mall tomorrow. I still need to find something to wear.” Lexie answers while Jewels just nods and shove food in her mouth.
I let them know that I will be leaving after lunch due to the fact that I don’t have any afternoon classes anymore.
Jewels gives me the middle finger, “smarty pants.”
I am one of the smartest students in our high school. I’m competing against one other person for the top GPA. And that person is Dominic Ford.
“Oh guess who came up to me to give me the warning not to stay at…..” my sentence was cut short because we had new people join our table.
Jewels is smiling from ear to ear and barely can form a sentence so I speak for all third of us , “what brings you guys to our table?”
“We just came over to say hello is that a crime Faith?” Dominic raises his eyebrow at me.
“Not at all Alpha, not at all.”
“So happy birthday Lexie,” Asher smiles at Lexie.
“Thank you,” Lexie blushes at Asher. This is the first time I’m seeing Lexie blush.
When they finally look at each other in the eye at the same time they say, “Mate.”
“Holy s**t y’all are mates damn.” I’m so excited for them.
The bell rings for lunch to end. We gather our stuff and get ready to leave out of the cafeteria. I headed in a different direction.
As I’m turning to leave Jewels yells, “what are you going do when you leave school?”
“Go take a nap and watch some tv.” I tell her before walking away.
My last class was French so I return to my locker to place the books in there before going to my car.
On my way out of the building I see Dominic is headed in the same direction. I know he doesn’t have any classes either because he has a high GPA also.
Trying to avoid him as best as I can does not work because he walks over to my car and ask for a ride home saying that Tristan needed to use his car. Something about Tristan car being in the shop.
I agree since we live the same way. So much for avoiding him.
“Like you really wanted to,” my sassy ass wolf mindlink me.
“Do you have be so sassy?” I say before closing the link so that I can focus on driving.
“Were you talking to your wolf?” Dominic asks.
“Yes I met her last night.”
“Whats her name?” he ask.
“Fia and yours?”
“King”
The rest of the ride was silence. We arrived in our neighborhood. I ask him did he need me to drop him off at the pack house or his father’s mansion.
“How about I come and watch movies with you?” Dominic asks with one eyebrow c****d at me.
“You sure that won’t be weird for us?” I ask him not totally dismissing the suggestion. I know I should but the damn pull.
“Why would it be weird? One we are friends and we both are single. It’s movies.”
“Okay sure I would like the company,” I finally give in.
We get to my house and decide on a watching Twillight series because he had never seen it before.
