Dominic POV
On my way home I remember that my mom wants me to check on Faith while they are gone. I will go get some food and drop by and see her. If I buy food she want say much. That girl loves some food.
*phone vibrates*
Checking my phone I see Emma is calling. I quickly hit decline. I don’t have time for her right this minute. I am going have to talk to her and break whatever she thinks we have going on off.
I stopped by and picked up my order from the seafood place. Faith is in love with seafood. Faith house is not to far from mine because her father is my right hand.
*knock knock*
“What are you doing here? Dddd-ommm-in-ic” she studders out.
“My mom told me to check on you since our parents are together. I got food also.”
“Seafood” I add putting on my best smile.
She blinked a few times before allowing me to come in , “wanna come in and you didn’t have to bring me food.”
“So you don’t want it?” I raise my eyebrow at her.
“I didn’t say all of that. It is seafood.” She laughs.
We walk into the kitchen, she grabs some plates and utensils for the food.
“We can sit in the living room and eat. I was watching a movie before you came.”
“Seriously thought why are you here? We haven’t hung out since we were little.” She shifts in her seat turning towards me waiting on an answer.
“I’m here to check on you that’s all. I said that at the door.”
She tolled her eyes “yeah right you must be here to get some information on Jewels.” I saw you guys talking after school.
My eyes are wide open showing that I am completely shocked but I don’t know if I’m more shocked that she saw me or that she thinks I like her best friend. I will try and figure that out later.
Are you excited to for your party I just want to change the subject.
Not realizing that I changed it to an even worse one. That’s the night she will find her mate and what if it isn’t me.
“Yeah, everyone loves a good party. And some people might find their mate also.”
“Shifting for the first the time will be awesome.” She sounds really excited about that.
“Do you want to find your mate?” I’m curious what her answer will be.
These few weeks have been having this pull to her. She was always gorgeous and didn’t care about being popular. Somehow everyone still managed to know who she is and her little group of friends. She has always been different; like she would stand up for others that couldn’t for themselves and she loves training and learning.
After a few minutes of her thinking she answers, “yea I guess so. I just don’t want a jerk for a mate and I don’t want to leave the pack.”
On that point of leaving the pack and finding a mate, King whimpers in my head . I’m not the only one getting attached to her.
“She might be our mate,” King says in my head.
“I don’t know we haven’t found our mate, yet.”
I realize I have been staring off into space when she asks me, “are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine I have to get going. Will you be okay tonight?” I ask her while heading for the door.
She nods and I leave.
