After they left the room, Diane came to me and gave me a big hug. “I think we’ll be able to close the deal tomorrow. I feel good about what just happened,” she said. She had her body tightly aligned with mine and I could feel my adrenaline washing through me. When she finally released me from her grip, I experienced a slight withdraw. I was beginning to have s****l thoughts and fantasies about the two of us together. We left the meeting room and went back to our suite. Diane suggested that we change into some casual clothing and take a walk downtown to see the sights. I agreed.
While I was waiting for Diane to change, I placed a call to Adam to check on Maria. Once again, Cathleen answered the phone. It was 1930 hours, the day before, in North Carolina and they were just finishing dinner.
