Adrian’s POV I followed Isla’s trail. Her scent was thick, she couldn’t be far. Maybe I should have put a tracker on her, I thought, as I walked by door after door. I zeroed in on the voices inside each of the rooms. Wolves were getting intimate as the evening grew late. The moans of pleasure didn’t take a wolf’s ears to hear. A simple human could have heard them from down the hall. Where was she? The idea of Isla f*****g Lucian played in my mind, over and over. I imagined how I’d tear Lucian’s head from his body. Sneaking out of the ballroom was going to earn her more than a few lashes. Each room I passed, I grew more and more unsettled. I took deep breaths. If I was going to kill Lucian, I needed to be more clearheaded. I was coming to the end of the corridor
