I watched Adrian rush out of the room. My jaw must have dropped, I closed it. I sat up from the ground where I had laid myself out for him. I’d never felt more humiliated. I had completely offered myself to him for the first time.
We had danced around the idea for what felt like years. Since Isla left. Adrian had seemed to lean on me in those times. I didn’t feel like I pushing myself on a man who had no interest.
