I ran through the garden to the edge of the property. Tessa vowed to uncover any secret I had, and boy did I have a big one. My heart was racing as I spun around, looking for her.   I didn’t want to fight Tessa, she was hurt and misinformed. I could hardly blame her for that. But I knew she wasn’t thinking clearly and I had to protect myself.   I heard twigs snapping, getting closer. I took off again. This garden was huge, I could hide from her long enough for her to lose steam. I hoped.   I should have run back inside. At least there, Tessa would have felt less inclined to make a scene.
