Forty-one Cody I sat in the backyard, staring into the horizon. A thin line of orange emerged between the black horizon and midnight blue sky. I didn’t know how long I’d been there. Cassie was pregnant. How in the hell did she get pregnant? She was supposed to be on the pill. Was it mine? It couldn’t be. I squeezed my eyes, pushing the thought of Seth out of my mind.
