He had a huge grin stretched across his smug face, and I couldn’t help the way my fist clenched at my side. Fury pulsed through me like a drumbeat. What the hell was I even thinking? A guy like him doesn’t change overnight. Reynold sees everything—everything—as an opportunity to take Daphne away from me. But this… this was a new low. And I was stupid—so f*****g stupid—to think he wouldn’t want something in return for this.
