Vivian's Pov:
I stepped out of the taxi as I reached the location, where I was called for the part-time job interview. Seeing the luxurious mansion in front of me, I wondered if I was in the right place. I rechecked my phone to make sure when a middle-aged man spotted me and addressed me.
"If I'm not incorrect, you must be Miss Vivian Hartley, who responded to my message regarding the job," the middle-aged man responded, "I am Brian Harding. Please follow me this way."
I was puzzled at first, but then, I silently followed him, thinking if other candidates must be called for an interview to work here. But I wonder what kind of job I would get at such a place.
"Are you sure, Mr. Harding, that I can work here? I go to college and I usually need a job, where I will only work for a few hours a day," I explained to Brian, who was dressed in a neat black suit.
"Miss Hartley will know soon." The answer came from him was not what I anticipated. Soon, I was inside the mansion, and I was left in awe. I had only heard about such places in the fairytales and for the first time, I felt I was in a dream when I wasn't.
When Brian stopped, I did too. I found we were in the living room. The expensive furniture lay before me when Brian asked me to take a seat. "I will call the Young Master," he told me.
"I'm fine this way," I said hesitantly.
Brian didn't insist on me and went upstairs through the spiral staircase while I again took my time to look around myself.
"Is this place beautiful?"
A familiar voice fell into my ears, but I was so immersed that I responded immediately, "Yes."
"You!" I was shocked to see Leone before me. Now, I realized why I found it so weird. Why would such a rich place would hire a college student like me? It was Leone, who wanted to trouble me.
"I should take my leave," I said and turned around to leave when Leone grabbed me by my neck.
He drew me back and whispered in my ear, "Human, don't you want to feed your stomach? Except for this house, you are not going to get work anywhere."
Brian had already left, and I felt I was stuck with a wolf. I tried to get away from him, but my attempts were futile in front of his strength. Finally, Leone let me go and I moved several steps away from him.
"Stop playing this way with me!" I got furious at him. My blood was boiling and I felt like beating him. But those were my mere thoughts.
Leone chuckled. "Why do you think I am playing with you? I'm offering you a decent job, Human. A salary of 3000 USD every month with many additional perks," he pronounced with a smile.
I was shocked to hear the amount. So far, from my former job in the bar, I was able to earn around 1000$ but not more than that. Indeed, Leone was going to pay me more than anyone for a few hours of the day.
But was it good to work for an alpha werewolf, who is a famous playboy and bully too?
Leone sat back on the sofa like he was the boss there.
"Even if you give me 10000 USD a month, I won't be taking it from you," I sharply said, though I regretted it quickly. Who would in his sane mind refuse $3000 for a part-time job? But she did.
I turned to leave, heaving a sigh since I had kicked out such a lucrative offer.
"Vivian, I won't let anyone hire you. You better work for me," I heard Leone warning me, which caused me to halt at my place.
"But I don't wish to work for you," I rebelled as I fumed in anger. The volcano inside me was ready to burst at any moment.
"You have no choice," Leone asserted. "Is money less important to you than the relationship we both share?" He directed a question at me.
I weighed the consequences of refusing to work for Leone.
When you are rich and powerful, you can do anything. The same my bully is doing with me at this moment.
"What do I have to do?" I agreed to work for him. "I suppose you already have hundreds of servants in your service," I commented.
"You will cook for me, do my assignments, and even do my laundry along with some additional chores," Leone stated.
"I cannot do that, Leone. I have classes too. Also, I can only work after my classes go off," I stated while clenching my fists together.
"You have to call me Young Master, not Leone. I am your boss here," Leone reminded me while giving a smirk. I wish I could slap or punch him.
"You will live here in the servant's quarters. I made sure you won't live in the hostel either," Leone stated and took out an envelope from inside his jacket pocket. My eyes widened at his statement and I rushed to take the envelope from him.
"How could you do this to me?" My voice trembled as I checked the letter. "I will ask Mrs. Warrick about it," she muttered.
"Sadly, the hostel in charge isn't under her. Mom can't do anything in this. What's the problem in staying here?" Leone asked me. For him, it was so easy to say it. A rich, spoiled brat like him would never understand what it felt like to be troubled.
'I won't stand this injustice anymore. I will make his life hell,' I pledged in my mind.
"Fine, I will work for you. Give me advance and let's sign an employee agreement too," I declared as I took a seat in front of him. I glared directly into his eyes.
"Vivian, it's going to be fun. I'm eager to see how good an employee you are!" Leone grinned at me as if he was already giving me a warning.
