"You're just in time for a midnight snack," I could clearly hear Uncle T, as Max walked into the dining room. His sister holds up a wine glass filled with some dark red liquid. It's most likely to be blood. The blood itself wouldn't make me pale and squeamish, but the fact that creatures of the night is sipping it like sweet red wine; that would do it for me. This is a non-ordinary dream. Calmly he walked on over and took it with delight. "You know, Max! You have been a total i***t," Cat spitted like a cobra. Before Max could get all defensive in her face [I could see that he wants to] their father jumped _ head first _ into the conversation. "No! Not in my house," he shouted. I swear I could feel how the earth shook beneath me and the he calmly continued as if nothing was wrong. "You could at least listen to what your sister has to say." Max used his first two fingers to make a zipper motion over his mouth and throw the imaginary key over his left shoulder. I'm not even in the room, literally, but I could feel the tension. Cat rolled her eyes at him and continued vastly before he could feel the need of interrupting again. "Like I've been trying to say. Ever since you've seen her, you've been walking around like a fool in love. She knows stuff about our family that none of your other, so-called, chosen ones knew. She's the real deal. She's experiencing the same feelings that you're feeling for her." That changed the mood, instantly. He knew she were right, but his much too afraid to admit it to himself. I knew this because I can feel his uncertainty. It's just as strange to him, as it is to me. The silent mode hung in the air for the next few seconds. Auntie S spoke for the first time around the dining table. I haven't noticed it before it's, without hesitation, made out of mahogany. I would know for my father is a carpenter. It's polished to a gloss. "She's here! I can sense her. She's all around, watching over you. Much like an angel. You should give her the benefit of the doubt." His mother said looking at him. She has got her families full attention. "Her presence is kind and understanding like a chosen one is bound to be. You should give her more credit, my son. She accepts you for who you truly are. I can feel much more than I would like to share!" She ended off with a halve smile painted on her pretty face. I could swear that cherry blossoms were making their way down my neck. Dyeing my ears and face a perfect shade of red. In the meantime Max stood up from his chair at the table and started looking around. As if he's searching for me, knowing that he would not find me between the walls of this room. "Hot flash!" Cat barely screamed out. Perhaps I've imagined it, but I could swear I saw the grin that I'm so familiar with spraying over his face. Like a teenage school boy. On his duty to crush on the girl with the pony tails, that he just can't get out of that silly little brain of his. Unexpectedly Auntie S started giggling. I must admit it's very catching. I could feel the joy bubbling inside of me. Soon after Cat was laughing too, Max asked out full of curiosity. "What's so funny?" "Oh my boy, that silly little brain of yours is much like a school boy's, quote I!" As she tried to keep her giggles under control she continued, "That little one upstairs is quit the comedian. I like her; it's not many who can make me laugh. You should stick with her no matter what." I don't quite understand how she could hear my thoughts. I don't even know how she knows that I'm in the room. It puzzles me a bit. They all seem very nice, but Uncle T scares me more than I would feel comfortable to admit. Though Auntie S properly knows this already. They have some very strange special abilities. I could see how their mouths moved, but it's like I'm living in an old time movie, for there's no sound. My ears started ringing. Something felt horribly wrong. At this very moment I can't seem to place the feeling. The next second I heard an ear deafening scream. I needed to cover my ears; the sound is all around me. I noticed how happy my vampire family was around the table. They knew about nothing. I was all alone. Without warning I felt an icy-cold, bony hand on my right shoulder. That's when I've screamed at the top of my voice. Auntie S jumped up from the chair. This time when they spoke the ringing were gone, but their voices sounded far away. "What's wrong?" Max immediately asked. "The room! It's so cold, dark, and empty," she whispered. I don't even know if they've heard her. Help me! Was the first thing I thought and soon after came another thought? I'm scared… Please, help me! "Who's there?" I managed to ask as my voice came back. It sounds like my voice was as the point of cracking. I was scared out of my mind. I ran as fast as my two legs could take me. It doesn't even help to run because I always ends up at the starting point. Somewhere in the dining room. I can see them as if they were standing right beside me, but when I hear them it's like their miles away. It looks like Auntie S had frozen. She still stood in the same position as if no time had passed at all. Like I'm in this dream maze and time stood still. Uncle T put his hand on his wife's shoulder and re-asked Max's question, "What's wrong?" She looked back at her husband and said with a shiver in her voice, "It's Gabi! Something's wrong." Before she could say my name, in her far away call, Max were out of the room. Cat were on his tail, ready to destroy. I followed them to my room, where I were peacefully asleep. It felt beyond weird seeing me sleeping. It even sounds freaky now that I mention it. In the meantime Max's parents join them in my room. As I look around me I've noticed a cloudy dark figure coming through the bedroom door, and took its place in beside my bed. I don't know much about anything at the moment, but I do know that it's a child's worst nightmare. The figure raises its arms beside him. His fingers grew longer and longer, it looks like snakes wiggling where his fingers used to be. Then I watched in horror as those long bony wiggling things entered my body. "Leave me alone! Get away from me!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. This time I could see that they all heard me, my entire vampire cult. I know how strange this might sound, but I knew that my voice came to them on the wave of an echo. The figure looked up at me as if he knew that I was looking. He gave me an evil grin. I noticed a mouth full of racer sharp teeth. His eyes were blood red. Again I yelled, this time I could hear my own voice echoing through the room. "Aagh…, it's killing me!" My horror filled voice sliced through bone and marrow. Uncle T told Max to stay put and walked closer to where the figure were standing. The darkling fleet, leaving my insides cold. In a foreign language Uncle T whispered, in my ear: "Ouvrex les yeux." It sounded much like French to me. I don't have the slightest idea what Max's father told me, all I knew is that I'm absolutely positively moving towards my body. Slowly I opened my eyes, happy to see the face of my beautiful creatures. Happy the dream had ended. Hoping that I would never see that dark figure ever again! Once is enough for me….
