Prologue: My not so normal teenage life.... ONE
"Through my eyes; I would say, life is unfair! Though there are so many beautiful sights. Places to go and things to see. Even though it's there for all to enjoy, not everybody can afford to come and go as they please. Giving out currency in each and every way. Eating at the best diners. Sleeping in fancy hotels. Riding out gallons of petrol, to explore the world. Flying in first class over ocean and riverbank. Safari rides!
Do I need to say anymore? I think I've reached my point. People can be rude, unpleasant, and selfish. I mean, people who does the stuff that I've just mentioned, have enough money to go around. I believe they could make a difference if they choose to do so.
So many children are homeless, today! And I'm speaking for those who wouldn't mind for some dirty covers to sleep under or even some leftovers to fill the holes in their tiny stomachs. So if I were to be a rich girl; I would without any, whatsoever, hesitation give a donation to those underprivileged… who also dream of safari rides even if they could only explore it on a TV behind the furniture store's window, thank you." "Thanks Miss O'Bryan for that interesting piece, you may take your seat."
As I walked back to the table were my books are. I saw a folded piece of paper. I sat down and look at my friend. She mouthed that I should read it. Quickly and carefully I unfolded it and read.
Did you hear? There's a new guy in town! Vernon said that his absolutely breathtaking…!
At the back of the page I wrote that it sounds like my kind of guy. Refold it and pasts it over towards her. After she read it she gave me a flash of her totally gorgeous smile. Millie and I are friends since kinder garden. We know each other by heart and share mostly everything with each other. Except boyfriends! We don't even have the same taste when it comes to the opposite s*x. Millie' a redhead, green eyed girl with a very distinctive taste. I on the other hand like men who are soft on the eye.
The rest of the day at school I haven't learned a whole lot, at all. My thoughts were lost in space! I've been wondering a lot about the new guy. How he looks? How he smells?
When the final bell rang, I was the first to leave. Outside I've waited patiently for Millie to arrive. We walk together from school. Vernon was next to arriving. Usually Millie and I wait, what seems like forever, for his to come running along. Yet today of all days his early. I could only guess why so I asked him another question instead. "So who is Mister absolutely breathtaking picking up?" Vernon stared at me halve startled and answered. "Is it that obvious?" I was a little shocked, him answering me with another question. I must admit that I'm not used to it, especially not from him. So he continued once he noticed that I'm not about to answer his rhetorical question anytime soon. "Apparently his picking up his sister." Really! I thought to myself that's sweet, but not so hot. "I thought you've told Millie that his absolutely breathtaking. So please explain to me how, in heavens name, sweet and breathtaking walks hand in hand?" I didn't realize how foolish the question appeared to be, once it was out, I even felt a little ashamed for being so snobbish. He looked at me as to say oh whatever.
I just ignored him. "Just you wait and see, love! Here he comes," he said with a girlish giggle. "Which car is his?" I asked much too eager. "The midnight blue Landover, coming up the driveway." As he parked his vehicle in an open space; Millie came from behind. She playfully punched me on my left shoulder, turning my gaze towards her for a few seconds. Vernon poked me in the ribs and that's exactly what drew my attention back into the stranger's direction.
Dear God, it's a sin for a man to look so fine. His perfectly silky blond hair falls just right. His eye color, as I can imagine, could only be blue. A striking blue color freezing you instantly from inside. His lips the color of ripe cherries, perhaps just as sweet and soft to kiss. It felt like I was staring at him for a long, long time; though it hasn't even been a minute. He knew that I'm watching him. He looked my way and gave me a flash of his smile. For the first time ever, I couldn't give a smile in return.
I turned my head slightly and shyly away, feeling stupid feelings for a guy that I don't even know. It felt like I was floating above the ground. I could feel how the color of cherry blossoms bloomed across my cheeks. His skin tone is so pale; it's as if he hasn't seen sunlight in ages. Which I know can't be true… he is dangerously beautiful.
I've got one overactive imagination and it absorbs all those horror movies that I love to watch. And leave me standing with one question: Do beasts really live among us? Like I've said one hack of an overactive imagination. "Gabi!" Millie exclaimed. "Um yeah… I'm coming," I said as though I knew exactly what she'd been saying, yet I don't have a clue. "For the seventh time girl, get your head out of the clouds. What's gotten into you?" Millie said a little spooked by the sound of her voice.
Vernon started chattering, he doesn't want to feel left out when it comes to his sort of conversation. "See I told you, love! Looks like he'd swallowed you in with those eyes of him. His got you under his skin." I looked at Vernon and then back at Millie as she spoke up. "Please, get a grip! I think, my personal assumption, you've been watching too much Buffy." If looks could kill then Millie would have spent her night in the hospital. So the contest continues; the one who can cope with ignoring the other for the longest time is the winner. It's always a competition between the two of them. "Even for me girl, he's totally gorgeous. And like a thousand times better than the jerk you used to date. I'm so glad that fool had lost your number." I'm a little skeptical when it comes to guys like these.
The thing that highly bothers me; is the fact that Millie thinks his gorgeous. If I should think More-Millie-Like, she'll say his totally yummy. In my little book of troubles, that counts as one _ or so I would say. I know that Millie could be a b***h if she wants too… I gave a quick glance towards the totally gorgeous stranger. He was just getting back into his Landover. Slightly he swung his head into my direction and greed me with a second smile. My breathing thrown of balance. My heart rates increase by a number. Sweet cherry blossoms blooms playfully against my cheeks. A sudden feeling, I just can't explain, brim over me.
His eye color now suddenly so much clearer, as if he wants me to see them. His body cold and muscular, as if he wants me to feel him. His voice husky and seductive, as if he wants me to hear him. It's unexplainable and I dare not to try!
