The universe was immersed in a beaten and shapeless kind of chaos, sunken into silence. As time passed there were sounds indicating the movement of particles, which later became known as Earth and the High Plain of Heaven. After decades the Seven Divine Generations were born. They followed the creation of Heaven and Earth and the appearance of these primordial gods, Izanagi and Izanami. They went on to create the Japanese archipelago and gave birth to a large number of gods.
